Car pics too cool not to share

Two different worlds, right there. I love each one, but for very different reasons. Still, if I had to choose, it'd be the '64 Belvedere. Damn, that's cool!

He had it setup in a period correct way. IDK if he actually races it, but it looks like it could compete in some of the period-correct events like southeast Gassers.

Agreed. While I enjoy many of the niceties of newer cars I'd still rather have a OLDER rig just about any day.

I think @ColoJeep was referencing the fact that the flier/poster for the show did not include Imperial in the list of cars invited to participate. If I had to venture a guess (and I'm fairly certain that ColoJeep is acutely aware of this), whomever created the flier just assumed that Imperials were a Chrysler model, which they were not. They became an altogether separate make in 1955. People have been incorrectly calling them Chrysler Imperials for decades.

Yet another useless car guy fact.... I'm glad my retired brother actually has the same prospective on many of the same facts !
Thanks Squatch ! Here is another Imperial that should be at the show , 64 Crown Southampton . :D

Fully agreed , Mopar AF/X cars are in catagory all by themselves. A dropped first year ElCamino on polished Americans would normally be way cool , however factory built Drag cars are the Coolest of Cool !

Ugly then, ugly now. Different cars or different fronts?

Different cars. The first two are '65 Dodge Coronets, with the second of the two being an altered-wheelbase car. The second two pics are of one car, a '64 Dodge 330...a Super Stock Dodge. As far as them being ugly, goes...🤷‍♂️ Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally don't see them as beautiful, stylistically speaking, but I do love the overall package.

Well the styling is controversial , But what makes these cool cars is the ability to kick some butt on more stylish cars.
You would truly feel beaten if one of these Ugly Mopars slapped down your FE powered Starliner.....:sneaky:

True enough. I respect them, and I always admire a survivor - ugly or not. But DAMN some cars sure were ugly!
