What other projects are you working on?

What did you do for rods? Recondition? Lml?

I just had new bushings put in mine which was a pain in the ass since they’re tapered on the sides and need two oil holes drilled.

I put Fleece heads on that eliminate the injector cups, Mahle cast coated pistons. Crank and block was still standard size. Also SAC style injectors. New style drivers side exhaust manifold. New style oil cooler.

It’s a farm truck, If it goes another 378K it will outlast me.

Here’s a pic with a hot tune😂

I brought home a 44 year old Coleman 426 D three burner stove on Wednesday. I collect things that make fire and make them live again. Much to the chagrin of fellow Coleman collectors, I don't restore, because they will be used. Anyway, I never had a use for a three burner, until now. I found it locally for $20. The seller said that it was his Dad's and, to the best of recollection, it was last used in 1985.
I got it home and found it still had a half tank of almost 40 year old fuel in it. The seal in the fuel cap was still pliable, the control knob wasn't stuck, and the pump cup was still soft. I figured, what the hell, I'll see if it lights up.

Sunuva...on the first match.

And it puts out a shitload of heat.

This was almost a disappointment because there was nothing to do to make it work.

The recent TrailRecon video has him showing off some retro camp gear. He has a similar stove that was never used and still had to replace some O-rings or something. He had a retro cooler and water jug.

Finally got the doorset put on the shed - got done just moments before a T-storm moved in! Very nice, commercial grade doorset - left over from a thrash with the doors on last year's MBR extension. Already keyed to the house. (y)

Now its time to paint the thing, then add the trim to the corners and door.

My son and I wrapped up the Dmax project Friday.

Only took us a few hours to get the engine back in Thursday afternoon and looked forward to wrapping it up Friday.
Fight it Friday...
Trans cooler line kit missing appropriate fittings. Buzz 9 miles down the road to the Farm implement store and get the correct ones.

Short 1 gallon on synthetic transmission fluid have to drive 20 miles the other direction for that

Block heater decides it's going to seep. Fender liner back out..drain antifreeze (6 gallon of fresh pre-mixed) I had to leave for a minute, my son pulled the block heater out and the remaining 1.5 gallons of antifreeze landed on the floor. (luckily I had bought extra)

Charge the AC.
I push the AC "snowflake" on the climate control. The compressor won't run. Usually It's in "auto" mode. When you push the button a snowflake icon appears with a feint line thru it...it's shut off. When it's "on" there's no icon on the panel. I didn't see the feint line thru the snowflake...ohm meter out, relay and fuses checked all good. Check the climate control...duh!
Second. I've got the scissor like device that pierces the freon can from the side. Pierce the second can and its leaking profusely....the rubber seal for the prob was stuck to the side of the other can. Might have got 1/2 of that can into the system.

Drove the truck a few more miles parked on the cement and yes a puddle. The coolant recovery tank one clamp was letting coolant drip.

Spell it out in Engrish for the old folks please.
I'll post a link and let someone far more qualified explain it. It can tune into what seems about anything. GMRS, ham radio, air bands... etc Uses software to replace equipment in this USB. Eventually I hope to decode satellite imagery and do some radio astronomy with it.

I prefer using CubicSDR program for it.
