Acceptable Rust Inside Frame?

Here are pictures from inside the frame of my new (to me) Jeep, including the area that is inside the frame where the skid plate bolts onto it.

I expect to see similar when my endoscope shows up today. Very clean with just a peek with flashlight.
Considering Eastwood encapsulator just the same as a preventative, inside and out and might chassis black the outside as well.

OCD?

You live in the desert... so I would say yes. 😅 Andy

Not all of Nevada is desert. I'm 400+ miles north of Vegas (the other Nevada). Live at 5500', a few miles from 10k mountains, record snow last year and the treated winter roads to go with it.
My XJ "frame" has nasty surface rust that I'll likely address as well - so guess I've answered my own question.

As a rust belt dweller, I do roll my eyes a bit at some of the posts I see where a guy out west will think they have an absolute garbage Jeep because of a few rust pits...or everyone tells them to stay away. You all know I'm not exaggerating.

It does get a bit tiresome...I should start posting some of the jeeps I see for sale locally...Its just a difference of expectations living in the Midwest. I ooh and ahh over a frame as clean as what was posted. You just don't find that often around here, but I know I can go pick one up for about 500-800 bucks in the PNW.

Maybe I get a bore scope and take some pics of my frame. I know it needs safety caps, but I also know its not anywhere near failing or causing any danger to myself or anyone else. It looks really good from the outside, save for one little hole right behind the skid on the driver's side.

OCD rules.

I ordered Eastwood Internal and regular for the frame, diffs, etc. Since it's so clean I might as well keep it that way for the next guy (at my age).
Looks like pressure wash inside and out, dry completely and apply. Black internal is backordered to Oct. 5 (tentative of course) so they gave me free shipping for the wait. Just don't want to mess with excessive masking if using green.
Suppose I need before and after photos inside and out so there's documentation that it was rust free from the git-go. LJR was originally from AZ, then CA, then OR and now NE NV and sits at 32k mi.

Will likely do the shitbox later.
