Yellowstone season 6 cancelled

That would be great if it didn’t include the soap opera aspect. I’m still eagerly awaiting the new season of Justified.

I didn't know that was coming. Makes sense that show tied up all the loose ends so they should make a mess out of it.

Quentin Tarantino was the one who got them to do another season. Apparently he loved the show (and the books) so much that he managed to get them to bring it back.

The revival picks up 10 years after the original series ended. Givens has left his hometown behind and now resides in Miami, balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 15-year-old girl (played by Olyphant's real-life daughter, Vivian). But a chance encounter will send Givens to Detroit, where he crosses paths with a violent, sociopathic desperado who's already slipped through the fingers of Detroit's finest once and aims to do so again, and his powerful lawyer. These three characters set out on a collision course in classic Elmore Leonard fashion, to see who makes it out of the City Primeval alive.

We tried Yellowstone, couldn’t get into it. The prequels though are really good. 1883 is exceptionally well done in my opinion, and so far, 1923 has been good as well. Not near as good as 1883 though.

Wife and I just finished 1883 a few days ago. I thought it was really good. It's hard to believe that back then people could just kill each other and get away with it for the most part. It was just one tragedy after another.

We started 1923 and finished the first episode. I'm still trying to figure out when Han Solo is going to meet Chewbacca.

By now I don't remember much of that. I just remember thinking the script was starting to fall apart when Henry Rollins showed up. Which was a shame since I generally enjoy him when he isn't acting.

That was Season 2 and by far the best one!

I've been re-watching Justified again for several weeks and just learned about this. I hope they don't screw it up, but it does give me optimism that Olyphant just seems like a genuinely cool guy. Watching him on Conan O'Briens podcast is a riot.

As good as it was, 1883 was funny to me because it so often became a blatant vehicle to show us how adorable Elsa May is.

So far, I like 1923 better because it is attempting to have multiple storylines. The Indian boarding school plot is interesting because I am curious to see where the writers will take it considering the real history and the predilections of the the Yellowstone audience.

I completely agree with that, they did go a little overboard with Elsa. However, not nearly as much as many other shows might. I feel like I viewed 1883 as more of a long movie rather than a show. It just seemed different, and it had a definite ending which I really liked.

I do enjoy the multiple story lines, however I was kind of disappointed in how quickly Spencer’s story has blended into the rest of the family’s. I feel like they could have waited a couple more episodes before doing that.

And I am quite interested as well in how that Indian boarding school will blend in with the rest of the show. It’s just it’s own thing as of now, which I like, I just don’t yet see how it will come together.

It’s definitely hard to believe they could do that. It was such a different life for people like those immigrants. I mean, was it only 4 people out of the 100 or so immigrants that lived through that journey??

Also hard to believe that was only 150 years ago, it’s crazy how quickly this country has developed to what it is now.

I'm interested in that part as well. Partly because I work for an Indian boarding school.

I've only seen the first episode, but I'm guessing they escape and maybe get a little revenge in the process.

Where you finding the new Justified?

All I have to say about that is they can piss right off. I bought Kat a small gift of a nice little piece of Indian Pottery. I was looking for something unique and it fit the bill nicely. There is spam and then there is this level of endless crap we have been inundated with ever since that purchase. So far we have at least 25 different large mailers with everything from " buy us a milk ticket" for lunch to "here, have a little modern artifact to hang from the rearview mirror" to just outright emotional blackmail trying to get money out of us. It is persistent and regular and always from some reservation type establishment so it isn't hard to figure out what caused it. Never again.

No, but I spent the first year returning them unopened with various messages scrawled across the front. No longer lives here. Resident is deceased. Stop sending me crap.

Nothing works so now it just all goes in the trash where it belongs. They could feed the entirety of nations with what they spend on postage and trinkets.
