Hey all looking for some clarification. Looks like I've got a 3 speed 32RH automatic transmission on my 1999 jeep TJ 4.0L

Looking online I think I could potentially have a 2.74 gear ratio? I'd be crazy with 33 inch tires on this low of a gear ratio right? By the looks of it it seems you guys say you should go with 4.11 - 4.56 - 4.88 in there. I only use the jeep to cruise around town, not much offroading and rarely have it on highway if that helps any.

Hello from a fellow 1999 32rh owner!

Your gear ratio can be found on a metal tag attached to your differential housing. I believe the most common ratios are 3.07 or 3.73.

General advice on this forum from what I've found is that 4.10 is the ideal ratio for 33s or bigger because of the 3 speed trans, otherwise rpms would be too high at freeway speeds with deeper gearing.
