Who else lives in the Northeast? It's going to be in the 70's for the next two days here in York, PA. Will be my first time driving a Wrangler with the top off. Celebrate good times!
Unfortunately it is supposed to rain here in Long Island....make sure you put the top back up before temp drops or you will have a very hard time latching in front
I would think so, just the nature of the material, it shrinks when cold. A twill top might not shrink as much, but it still will and not many people have a twill top on these.....yes @Starrs I know you do (here the jealousy?) Even on my 1974 TR6 I have made the mistake of trying to put it up when cold and needed a hair dryer and 2 people pushing down on the front. Is this true even when the top is a year or so old, or just new tops?
Good to know. I have had several convertibles, but they were all more collectable cars, so only in nice weather. Super easy to close a top on a '60 vette while sitting in the driver's seat. Miss that car sometimes.I would think so, just the nature of the material, it shrinks when cold. The rear window is the worst part haha.Just make sure you get it back up before the temps dip down again. Neighbor and I installed his new SuperTop NX on his 04 the other day. Even at 70 or so here in GA, it was a bear to get on. He got lazy and got the top on, then took a break till after the sun when down to get this windows in. DOH!

Will have to try that, I took the uppers off but had trouble unzipping the side window, looked like they have not been removed in years. It was only in the upper 50's when I tried, but for now uppers removed is good enoughSeriously though the warmer temps do make it easier the stretch the fabric into the right places...wire coat hangers work well on the tough zippers
A touch of penetrating oil on the zippers helped me as well when I first got my Jeep as the previous owner hadn't unzipped them in years. Will have to try that, I took the uppers off but had trouble unzipping the side window, looked like they have not been removed in years.
