great idea...that would work on the diff oil too I'd expectI made a trans fluid pump out of a hand held weed killer bottle. So that is special!

How does it do pumping such a heavy viscosity like gear lube? How long have you been using it for pumping gear lube?I made a trans fluid pump out of a hand held weed killer bottle. So that is special!

I have never used it for gear oil. I only use the hand pump for trans fluid. It is probably as fast as a cheap hand pump you get at the parts store, but a lot less messy and a lot easier to use.How does it do pumping such a heavy viscosity like gear lube? Motive makes good stuff. Although I do gravity bleeds on my Jeep's brakes, their power bleeder is very nice for my M3. Pricey I guess, but that is what you pay for quality!I have never used it for gear oil. I only use the hand pump for trans fluid. For my gear oil I use this. Although it doesn't look like it is available at Summit anymore, but that is where I bought it:

This one actually has a valve stem I can fill with air for pressure, if I don't want to pump it.

Wow! Thanks for the pic. That makes it easy. Threadlocker is a good idea. Looks like I'm set to go. Torque to 22ft/lbs I believe. My shifting has always been lackluster into 2nd and 5th has recently been in denial, so I need to get this done, hopefully the Redline MTL will smooth things out. From all the testimony it does, I'm very optimistic.View attachment 36441
This is everything I use. The cheap bottle pump works but can get a little messy, and I use a torque wrench on almost everything.

What transmission do you have? The nv3550 needs a 17mm hex key for the fill and drain plug. I used a 10mm bolt with a couple nuts jammed on the threads. Use the head in the fill plugs and a wrench on the nuts to turn it out.Wow! Thanks for the pic. That makes it easy. Threadlocker is a good idea. Looks like I'm set to go. I have the NSG370. The 17mm hex needed for the tranny you mentioned was the reason I originally asked. I wasn’t sure if I needed that bit. What transmission do you have? The 6spd takes a 14mm and 17mm hex socket. Picked mine up at Harbor Freight.I have the NSG370. The 17mm hex needed for the tranny you mentioned was the reason I originally asked. I wasn’t sure if I needed that bit.
Oh boy! I’m so excited to purchase these odd hex sizes. Yippee, thanks Chrysler for one more weird decisionThe 6spd takes a 14mm and 17mm hex socket. Picked mine up at Harbor Freight.
Only 36 huh? :risas3:Raised my stock spare tire light with about 36 washers, giving me an extra 1”. Hoping I can get the spare tire mounted to the new wheel tomorrow and hoping it will fit the modified stock carrier. I’m ready to have a real size spare!
I know, right. And the only reason I have 36 grade 8 washers is because of my past TC drop! Now watch, it won’t be enough!Only 36 huh? :risas3:
I did that at a restaurant a few years ago. As I got out of the Jeep a couple was walking by and the guy grinned at me and said "Now THAT"S how you park a Jeep!" Um, yeah...Man, the gym parking lot was cramped today...thank-god they had Jeep-Only parking.
