Auckland Helloooo NZ

Ohhhh ok sorry mate I need another V I think lol...So its pretty much stock then ?
All good.
Yeah stock Sahara 4.0 auto with Dana 44 and Dana 30 combo.
Needs New rubber and rims.
Getting the softtop and a roof rack for the boards made. Then the deep hole of mods really starts. I'll start a build thread up soon.

Hello. What a beautiful country! I flew into Nelson and rented a camper van and toured for a month. Left Nelson and followed the ridge of the southern Alps to Huber Springs (spelling?) then to Christchurch, Queenstown, Milford Sound, back over the Alps to a ferry to Wellington, north to Rotorua, Then follow the east coast to the Bay of Isles, and then back to Aukland. Awesome trip with wonderful people.

Chris, that's quite cool! any chance of getting a current one?
I force this forum upon any TJ owner I find on our local 4wd facebook pages. Would love to know if it's paying off, haha.

I had one up recently but was forced to take it down do to too many people complaining that they didn't want to be on the map. Unfortunately there isn't a way to exclude yourself from the map.

I must admit I liked having the map up so I could see any new NZ members and make contact with them.
Can you post a list of NZ members or is that breaching privacy rules ...

I can’t make a list unless I enable the map haha. Maybe I’ll have to see if there’s another way.

Hey mates,
Just a quick note, I just joined.
New to Jeeps (Dodge Rams and/or Durangos for 20 years), even newer to the forum
Grew up in Wellington (Miramar) moved to Morrinsville then to Masterton, then went to Canada for a holiday in Canada, that was in 1977, still there now.
Have been back several times the last in Feb of this year.
I'm in Quesnel, British Colombia, sort of central part of the province right on Highway 97 the main North South thoroughfare in BC.
If you are ever coming this way drop me a line and we'll arrange a meet.
Cheers,
Geoff

They'll have to import their TJs along with them... since they are in New Zealand and all ;)

Hey all

Another New Zealander who has just joined the Jeep life (and this forum)!

I'm based in Auckland and have just bought a 1999 Jeep TJ Sport.

She's pretty much factory (aside from the wheels/tyres). I think I will try to track down a set of original factory wheels but unsure how successful that will be.

The only other thing I want to sort is the factory speakers. I think they have blown/degraded with age, but at this point they are dire.

Cheers
Harry

Hey harry Weeclome to the forum....good to see another TJ owner from NZ Auckland on here.
Trade me can help with a set of original wheel...like these
https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/ca...tm?rsqid=b7c4ef7a2039462fb97069abdbf10c73-003As for the speakers..if when they were new they are bad ( and not 'bad' in a good way either) lol There are some option to help improve those though.
Where in Auckland are you Im out East Tamaki way
