Had anyone deleted their third cat and replaced it with a straight pipe?

Just to confirm, I removed my third cat today. No check engine lights, runs great, and while it is a bit louder, it's a nice, deep, throaty sound. Of course some of that can be attributed to the new muffler that was installed at the same time.

Here's a photo:

I just put a new header, muffler and replaced the cat with a glass pack. Seems to work fine, sounds a little louder, but not bad. I had thought about just putting a pipe in there, but I wasn't sure if the back pressure or lack of would create a problem, so I tried a cheap glass pack instead.

So while digging around for other things, the third cat came us several times.

Any particular reason for wanting it removed? Is it just that it can be (CEL no issues) and it’s one less thing to repair later? Any situation where it’s advantageous? Or not?

I do delete my third cat last weekend.
1- Louder. I do also add a Banks Exhaust system and that make it more louder but nothing crazy. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R5VGKU6/?tag=wranglerorg-20
2- No check engine lights
3- No performance difference.
4- Can offer more info on the MPG later as I no have the change to drove the Jeep much after it.

I'm from Ohio and they do not visually inspect for this.
In the end how do you feel about the Banks Muffler replacement?
