That's really nice, but I'm not entirely sure it's worth that much. At the same time, I hope they get it, because that just makes mine more valuable!

Agreed, but they are dreaming at that price point lol. Ballsy, but if somebody wanted a basically right off the showroom floor tj that’s the one. Prolly as close as you’ll get to a brand new one today. Nice to see they do still pop up on the open market from time to time.

Ps...why in the hell did you give your black one away...LOL

Is it just me or is it almost a shame to see things like that at the same time that it's wonderful. I mean how cool would it be to own a rubi that nice with under 4k on it. But then again, that's a rubi that will never be taken on a trail and used how it was meant to be. It's worth too much now to abuse off road.

There must have been a time
when we could have said no.

I hate black, haha. I just can't stand it. It's impossible to keep clean.

Anyone know where those side bars with the steps are from? I've not seen any quite like that before.

Well it is nice to see one like this to me because it will be a survivor many years from now and we need a few of those around just as a reminder of what they were like.

I would actually prefer one like that bone stock though. Aftermarket is fine for most all, but if you are just going to have one sitting a stock one would be my choice to remember how they looked from the factory.

But you have to admit, that black one of yours was very photogenic to say the least. I found your Jeep on a general search via Google and gravitated to that damn thing like a fly gravitates to a full pizza box.

Totally agree. But she is a beauty. I dont imagine it would be that hard to go back to stock.

I guess I never saw it personally, because I owned it. It’s obviously different looking at it through someone else’s eyes.

I’ve owned 5 black vehicles in my life and I’ll never own one again. They look awesome when they are all clean, but it’s next to impossible to keep them that way. I also always hated how black shows all the swirls and imperfections in the paint so easily.

yeah, we use very little salt and no other chemicals so maybe. 7 more years and I'll be there. Just over 210K miles right now.
That’s the way it should be. City workers should be tarred and feathered every time they put that shit out. I understand people have to get to work, but there has to be another way besides deteriorating new and older vehicles.

My lord how did that thing survive so long without any surface rust on the undercarriage? @mrblaine

Try the zoom feature on the frontal shot that shows the bottom of the knuckle on the driver's side and try again. Unprotected ferrous oxidizes in the presence of oxygen, that's what it does.
