A Story of Indecision and Frivolous Spending

That ocean breeze really helps!

That and the fog. It’s crazy to watch when it rolls in. And I love sleeping in the cold also.

Done Hijaking :D

I love the heat we're having, it is nice. I don't want it everyday like it was growing up in the Carolinas, but I do enjoy the patches of Oregon heat.

My kids only know the Willamette Valley, and I'm certain they'd have a tough time adjusting to the heat and humidity of the South.

I truly believe that the West Coast has the most tolerable climate of anywhere in the U.S. At least of all the places I've visited!

I agree. I like the warm, but my wife is a Coloradan, so Oregon is a good trade off.

I scraped off more frost from my windshield when I lived in Atlanta than Corvallis. The weather is hard to beat here.

When I was in the Army I went to Basic Training and AIT for Infantry at Fort Benning in Georgia. I went during the Winter, and we spent a good portion of the time camping outside doing field exercises for the several months I was there.

I always tell people to this day that I've never been as cold in my life as I was in Georgia during the Winter. People don't like to think that Georgia and the South get cold, but my goodness, the type of cold down there is beyond anything I've seen here in Oregon... it's absolutely bone chilling.

I don't have an AC at the place I'm currently renting. Really suffering in this heat this weekend. It's the night time sweating that gets me cursing. Anyone who says you don't need AC in Oregon haven't lived here a full summer. When I buy my own place I'm putting a GOOD central AC.

I usually don't say this, but I can't wait to go to work tomorrow to bask in the cold industrial AC. I actually thought of dropping in today just to cool off, but I drove to the coast instead to cool off for a bit.

These dang monsoons that the desert dwellers are getting is really effing up our weather up here in NorCal. That's where the dang humidity if coming from. It's not a dry heat!

That's one nice thing about where we live, we're only an hour away from the coast, which we go visit frequently! The kids love it, and it's much cooler!

You’re in Arizona, isn’t that supposed to be good for the arthritis? The heat I mean.
Technically yeah, but it doesn't do miracles haha. If you think about it, it would probably be much worse in a colder climate. It is the pitfalls of getting old. It is exhausting.

I feel your pain to some degree, and I’m only 35!
