This may seem like a crazy question, but my AC had been broken for some time, so I decided to remove the system, because I don't plan to ever fix it--I don't use it. I expected to see a check engine light, but want to know how to bypass the AC circuit so it isn't sending the light?

It showed 1 code during the scan, but when I scrolled through it said no codes ? None of the connections on the wiring harness for the AC are connected.
I'd use the code reader to clear any stored or pending codes and then see if the light goes away. There should not be a check engine light from removing the A/C compressor unless something was knocked loose in the process.
