Hi, all. Saw this Craigslist ad and wanted to share it here... if anyone’s looking for Half doors.

Jeep Wrangler Half Doors 97-06 - $500

Half Doors for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler. Blue exterior, grey interior. I bought these for my 1999 Jeep Wrangler TJ(Desert Sand) with the intentions of painting them to match and using them while trail riding. I recently sold my Jeep and these are the last of parts I have left over. I obviously never got around to using them. They are RUST-FREE.... just paint em' up to match your ride and you

This is what it cost for me to ship some half doors to Massachusetts.I assume it can't be that much more in shipping as texas isn't that far. Also I sold mine $100 cheaper so add 100, the total comes to $616.39 which isn't the worst, especially if you can crate it for cheaper.
$400-doors
$61.62-Shipping
$46.16-Crate materials + $8.61 for another 2x6x10
Total: $516.39

Shipped by what method?

My .02 - If the seller will agree to it, have him haul them to the Greyhound Station - larger/heavier stuff like this is almost ALWAYS cheaper to ship by bus! I had some seats shipped to me from Boston to Oceanside CA a couple years ago; cheaper by FAR!

how much does it cost? shipping through fedex wasn't that expensive given what they were and the fact that they weighed 60 each after being crated(at least for how I crated them) the materials are what added up

I guess I'll cross that bridge if I ever get a response to my half doors for sale...so far, no interest.

Do you happen to have any photos of the crate(s) you built?

Yep one crate per door and nope i didn’t put them on a pallet
So I quoted FedEx Freight to a possible location in Indiana for shipping my doors, and it came out to $189, no bargain at all. I don't know which FedEx method you used, or what the total weight of your shipment came out to, but I don't see how to get a rate that low...enlighten me!

I didn’t use freight. Just dropped it off at my local fedex store. Maybe the guys were just nice? They had said they’d never seen anything like it but since I boxed them separately, the size and weight was fine. If your store has an issue with the bare wood. Just throw a box over it or even multiple boxes and some tape just to cover the wood and they should accept it. It could also be more due to location differences and where it’s being shipped to? Not sure
