I was doing some searching around a couple days a go and found this awesome website. It basically gives you a build sheet for your jeep by entering your VIN number. Their was no posts like this so I thought I should start a thread about it. It's also on a official jeep site!

Here is the website:
https://jeep.custhelp.com/app/jeep/eqlisting_detail/session/L3RpbWUvMTM5MzY0MzI4OC9zaWQvWGxOMmc2T2w=

It actually works and its free. This way you don't have to email jeep to get a build sheet you can just go on this site and get one instantly! Let me know if it works for you guys.

Wow, very cool! Normally you have to email Jeep so this is news to me.

Looks like I really do have a Rubicon... Haha. I would be so pissed off it was a fake Rubicon.

When I look up your VIN (1J4FA44S15P311746) it just says 2005, I thought it would say the build date. The only build date that is accurate is the one listed on the vehicle sticker, so it's got to be an 03/05 build date, which would still make it an 05.

However, you don't have a white decal on the drivers side doorjam up by the dash?

So....I always thought my 2000 TJ was a Sport but when I check the sixth digit "4" the sheets say it's a Sahara. Except the Chrysler spec sheet says Sport. Does this confuse anyone else? Just an inconsistency between databases? And yes, the 2000 build year checks out with the "Y".

When I ran my digits my TJ is either a 97,98, or 99 but I was happy to confirm that mine came with a Dana44 as standard.:Laie_22mini:....plus a steering wheel too, although in the States it seems like a common fault of it being on the wrong side..:D

I'd like to have your Dana 44's....but you can keep your mis-placed steering wheel. :hsughwiggle:

hello guys, i need to ask a question and im confused as hell. everywhere I search on the web the 6th number digit has to be a number for example 4 for sahara. my 6th digit number is showing an A. anyone knows what 6th A means.

Thank you

Chris its been awhile but I used this site the other day and now i tried it again and its down I was wondering if you knew of anything like this website that gives you a build sheet from the factory off of just the vin number

so i just type in the vin and they will send back a full build sheet of when it was bulit? and if so how long will it take to get it back.
Exactly, just fill out the info they are requesting on the email link. It took a few days for mine to come back. Since its friday I would expect that it will be early next week. Here is a copy of what they gave to me.
As you will see I did it years back but from what I gather from other forums they still provide the info.
