Jeep guns

It's against the law the bait them here in California. We have to go out and "hunt" them.
Bow and arrow gets a little exciting too! It really pisses them off when you shoot them with an arrow. And what life they have left in them, they can do some damage. I made a perfect double lung shot on one, and what little time he had left, he was looking for me. Lucky there was an oak tree close by with low hanging limbs.

That's a solid point: bows make it personal, which is basically the same thing that you get from handgun hunting. I'm too sorry of an archer to bowhunt; despite all my practice, I just don't seem to get much better. I guess some have the talent, and some don't.

It's against the law to bait them in Redneckia, too...but that doesn't stop anyone.

If you can shoot a rifle you can shoot a crossbow and the compound ones are amazing.

Sadly, I'm an abysmal shot with a rifle...but I do like crossbows. I'm not really into compound bows, but I agree nonetheless: amazing performance. If Harald had a few modern ones at Hastings, things might have turned out differently.

I can't shoot my compound bow anymore due to surgery to both shoulders. I just got this crossbow in January for hunting. It's amazing.

Well, I really did it this weekend. Got sidetracked again on my TJ projects.

Stopped in at Cabelas to pick up fly fishing sundries, and as usual, wandered over to the gun library to see what they had. You just never know. They had a bunch of shotguns in. Side by sides made by Zastava in Serbia. You know, the place we bombed the crap out of awhile back.

Anyway, the shotguns were FN designed boxlock side by sides in 16 gauge. Very well built if not as polished as an English side by side. Good, serviceable wood with proper cast off and cant. $350 out the door. I defy anyone to find a well built boxlock new or used for that price nowadays.

It finishes up my gun collection for throwing in the TJ on road trips. The wife says I get to live on Raman for the next couple of weeks...Lol.

Coool stuffs there

DMV here in Nevada finally opened up a few weeks ago so I could get my D/L and by a gun for the Jeep I’ve been watching the shelves clear out. well in about an hour after Walking out the door at the motor vehicles I was on the escalator heading into the gun shop at outdoor world and there wasn’t much left behind. I come looking for a Glock G40 10mm and to my surprise the one I’d seen earlier was also one of the few remaining guns in the display case, I waited patiently literally sweating bullets expecting each person in front of me to beat me to it When my turn came after 2 hrs in line it was still there and I bought it on the spot.

they had another pistol In the display case that was a beautiful match grade 9mm but the asking price was kind of steep so I passed. I kept thinking about the 9mm and 2 weeks and 4 trips back I finally bought it too I couldn’t resist. This ones a Zev ZO9c their compact carry gun it’s a new modular design and there are many interchangeable parts. This company has been making match upgrade parts for Glock’s for years the slide barrel and a few other parts fit onto a Glock 19 and now they have finally made a complete gun of their own, this isn’t my gun but looks exactly the same.

I like that 40! I carry a Glock 20 with a 6 inch barrel when I’m in the middle of no where. I would have a Glock 40 if I lived in a free state.

I’ve got another barrel on order a KKM comp, that’s a cool thing about the Glock it so easy to change and upgrade. I’ve run about 300 rounds through it so far and It’s a shooter factory barrel is tight and locked into the slide and the trigger is 4 1/2-4 3/4 #’s out of the box. I was at the range and they had a new looking glock 29 on consignment for $450 if I didn't already have a great conceal carry I’d have bought it.

Love the sight mount capability on that Glock!
And just big enough for bear country.
it’s a nice feature unfortunately I had to send the red dot back it wouldn’t hold center red dot kept changing from the recoil, I bought it from MidwayUSA and I think they sent me one that had already been returned before by somebody else and I may or may not put one back on after using it I’m not sure if I really like it better than iron sights.

From what I read the g40 is becoming real popular up in Alaska due to the better shot placement over the big recoil guns 15+1 and the ability to get accurate shots off quicker. Some pretty good success stories one I read guy dropped an 850# grizzly with two shots when it surprised him coming out of the bush some 20 feet away. He and his buddies were searching for a moose they’d shot the night before, but the bear had found it first and planned to keep it.
