1970s Jeep Ad

Great find- I remember that ad from when I was a kid. I wonder how many they would sell today if they made those again?

And a hot 70's chick.. it's all great.

Here is a 1952 or 54 framed ad I just purchased..

Jeep marketing knew what it had ...a fun vehicle ..and that's how they sold them .

I had 2 cj-5 jeeps and 3 CJ-7 's. The simplicity of them amazes me to this day. I never dreamed they would rarely be seen on the roads.

One thing that stands out to me now is how much the TJ design paid tribute to the CJ-7. At a glance , very similar . This was deliberate ...the yJ was criticized highly for the square headlights, and the TJ goal was to bring the classic Jeep looks with modern chassis and interior design back to the market and see what would happen . 965,945 units later,Jeep was back on the map , and the public's fascination for the Jeep was back , strong enough that maybe, just maybe , one with 4 doors would work . And oh boy did it ever.

The rest is history.

It's really an awesome business story.
