OME Lift Opinion / Sanity Check

It looks good to me, but I am in the process of also installing the same springs on my LJR. I am wrapping up hopefully tomorrow and will try to remember to report back anything funky I see, and measurements.

Thanks @KMET once i decide what to do ill let you know if i want to try them. I was guessing I'd get 2.5" out of them if i was extremely lucky, but wasnt counting on it, and would be ok with that. The 2" up front im fine with, seemed to be within the typical range of results. The rear is a little more frustrating as thats where it was with the old stock springs and the 2" spacers.
I wonder if the accidentally sent you the OME light duty springs in the rear. You may have already double checked, just a thought.

Also, did you use the OME yellow 10mm (0.39”) spacers?

If not, I agree with @bobthetj03 , get some 1” spacers up front and rear

Ok, so measuring the back of the rear springs I get 10.5 inches. Thats encouraging, as well as the consensus from everyone with more trained eyes that it looks about right. So, how do y'all think the measurements should be interpreted? Average the two? Or would the higher measurement be more closer to accurate?

IMO the actual measurement is academic. If the Jeep sits and looks like you want, does it matter if the actual lift measurement is different than some perceived standard? Did you take any measurements (bottom of rear bumper, edge of flare, bottom edge of tub, for example) prior to the install of the springs? That would give you something to compare to...otherwise, it only seems to matter that the LJ is lifted to your satisfaction, not whether it meets some preconceived lift amount measurement...just my take...

I think this is a good approach, it helps you understand the end result on the parts you want higher. If those numbers don’t matter go off the style you’re after :)

I agree, im happy with how it looks and rides, no complaints about that. I didn't approach it too academically, only reason I want to be sure its at least close is for the 33s. And really 32.5 with the 33x10.5 KO2s I plan on. Im considering getting the 32x11.5s again, but i like the idea of the skinnier tires and i dont want to just put on 31s. I used to take it into the mountains a lot more when living in Colorado and Idaho, but different stage of life and location and it just doesnt happen much any more, at least for the time being.

I’m after the same end result, 33” without losing too much performance. OME Springs, Rancho Socks, Savvy body lift - probably then the bug to hit 35s :p

I did take some, i think i did bottom on fender flares to edge of tread a little while back. Ill see if i can dig that up.

@RAWZ08 - I wrapped up my LJR OME lift today, here are my measurements at the fender flare edge (on ~31" - 245/75r16):

* Front: 34.75"
* Rear: 36.25"

I am going to add a 0.75" spacer to the front, which should still have a little rake and be level with gear.

My pics are here, in case you are curious.

LJR looks good, especially against that background! I miss the front range. My LJ came from a dealership in the springs.

Ive got some measurements and i intend to update this soon to at the very least for another data point for someone else. Im thinking i did get more lift than i thought based on the different measure location and everyones input.

I still want to go with 33s, but i may delay that for now. Was reading some more threads about how NSG370s and BL/MML may not be as guaranteed a quick and easy job like with other year/transmission combos. I just don't have the time for that at the moment.
