The wave

I had a cool wave experience a couple of weeks ago when the jeep was actually running good. Lol
I was at an intersection turning right, and on the cross street a guy in a nice silver tj was in the left turn lane. As soon as he saw me he pointed at me, gave the the thumbs up and waved real big! I did the same thing back at him. It was really awesome!

The Jeep wave is much more alive here in WA than TX. I love it! ✌

I don't get a lot of waves from people in newer Jeeps, it seems they're mostly all 2006 and older.

My 5 year old son loves the wave, he spent all summer sticking his hand out of the soft top waving to every Jeep we passed. We had a Jeep behind us at a red light and he turned around and just started waving at the guy. I miss a lot of waves but I think he gets every single one lol

I only wave if someone has done a serious mod or the jeep looks like it's been treated like the dirty dogs they are... I don't wave at the "new" jeeps cuz 99% of the time they dont wave. My wife thinks I should wave at them all so i have assigned her that duty.

Same here, I miss a lot I'm sure as I seem them as there passing with hand up but it too late to return the wave. But when the 6, oh I'm sorry I mean 7 yr old by 2 days now is in the jeep with me he misses none and has wave going before I even see one and ask him what he's doing and he replies "Waving at the Jeep" and I'm like what jeep and he will say that one. And god it's like a 1/4 mile or more up the road heading our way, buy he is ready, able and very willing to show them he's in a jeep and proud of it.

You know what's cool...

Fathers spending time with their children and their children getting to be part of what their dad has going on.

As exciting as they are to us a Jeep is ten times more exciting to a small child.. they don't make Lexus Power Wheels probably....

I know we are all enthusiastic or we wouldn't be on here... And I know it's redundant to say this but there is nothing in this world like a Jeep... It is absolutely the funnest way to get from point A to point B to point C and beyond.

This!! Hands down my favorite part about owning the Jeep is how much my son fell in love with it. The beginning of the summer with the top off cruising down the back roads and through the trails, it's like a big toy to him lol He stopped asking to go to the park and now he asks to go for Jeep tours lol

When I was little my mom had a 1997 wrangler. She had bought it brand new. It wasn’t much, (just an SE) but I had so much fun with it. Riding top down on a summer day, music blaring, waving at other jeeps. I couldn’t wait to go for another ride.

Eventually she had more kids and we moved when I was about 10. She didn’t really have a reason to drive it. She had 4 kids and a Jeep just didn’t really have a place in her life. She couldn’t let herself sell it though. It sat in our shed for 6 years, it was driven 2 maybe 3 times a year. It stayed dry so there wasn’t really much rust, but one of the brake lines rotted away when it sat.

But on my 16th birthday she handed me the keys. It needed a little work but we got it fixed up and ready to go. I was ecstatic. Getting your first car is a big deal but having a Jeep as a first car is unreal. I’ve had it 6 months now and I’ve loved every second with it. I hope to keep this thing running as long as I can. I don’t really know how unrealistic that is but I definitely have a connection to it. It’s also a 5 speed manual so it has one of the best anti-theft devices in the world. I can’t wait to see what kind of adventures this thing takes me on!
