So when i got home today i parked in the garage to do some rewiring on the shit show of a job the PO did.

I get the dash apart and just about to start cutting wire when the wife comes in and says in that voice "does this mean i don't get to drive the jeep to work tomorrow".

Next thing I know im putting everything back together so she can have it.

Mind you this is not the first time she has done this. It seems like every time I get parts she want to drive it and i just have to wait.

Just blowing off steam. I hate starting a project just to put it back with doing what I set out to do.

Exactly. You need to take a cue from my playbook and make sure it's almost always inoperable, in pieces, and being worked on. If you do that, she'll never be able to drive it. Instead she'll just complain that there's a "project" in the garage that never will be finished :ROFLMAO:

There's the answer, right there! :D

You want them afraid of it. Jealous of it . Then buying you parts for it. It’s a fine line , and you need lockers to stay on it.

This jeep has been a challenge. I started with a nice set of 4.5" springs. I have been slowly adding the parts i need to install them. Right now i just need to order the SYE and drive shaft and i can finally get them installed. But finding the time is the difficult part.

My wife can’t drive a manual and constantly thinks it’s about to fall apart or roll over a cliff, I don’t know what I did but I did it too much... she only sometimes will cruise around town in it and typically prefers doors doing so.

I think I've driven the TJ about 5 times this summer. Once the weather warms up and the top and doors come off it's hers.

I redid the front u-joints, brakes, etc etc over one weekend and I was getting the same thing Sunday evening: "Is it going to be done tonight or do I have to drive the other truck tomorrow?"

This is simple. Do the old Zip ties around the driveshaft prank and dont tell her. when she takes it she will get around the block freaked out and bring it right back for you to fix it. Then just cut the zip ties off when your done with your build.

Just stop being cheap and buy her a nice JK, then do what you want to your own jeep, or get her a subaru, I hear chicks and dudes who act like chicks like them more than jeeps
I have a jeep and I love my Subi. I only act like a chick when I get something yummy. Like a good bourbon or beer.
