Yup. Tire shop should have known better. Go back and be reasonable, they should reciprocate
Yes the engineers did by making various Load Range models available since different vehicles have different weights... with a LR E tire being made for a heavy truck up in the F350/3500 range, something the TJ is not even close to weight-wise. Contact pattern being correct or not at a lower pressure that LR E tire is simply too stiff of a tire for a vehicle with the weight of a Wrangler TJ.You can’t judge a radial tire by anything but the contact patch (the part of the tire touching the ground). You’re thinking about it too much. At 24psi you probably have the correct contact pattern. I’m guessing the BFG engineers have done their homework and have it right.
According to BF Goodrich's website they do not make a load range E 35x12.50 R15, Although that doesn't solve your dilemma. I agree with @jjvw , lower your pressure until you have a full contact patch. if it feels too unstable add a little air until it feels right. Check the contact patch again with chalk. The tire casing should relax after some miles have been put on them. But out of curiosity why do you believe they are load range E (10 ply rated).Just installed new 35 inch tires as some of you saw my previous post spent the better part of an hour looking at my tires wondering why they seemed narrower than my 33’s only to find that I bought load range E tires. Tried airing them down to 26 PSI but still can’t get a flat contact patch I doubt I can take them back to the tire shop what are my options guys? Thanks

Cornbread l done the same thing what size tires do you have?I bought load E's several years ago not knowing better, my Jeep is so light I run them at 24psi.

Thousands of us run LRE with no regrets..... but yes, most tire shops will trade them out for you,,,, not for free but if you must change them you can get it done. I bought 245/75R16s for my TJ and decided I wanted 255/85R16s..... Kal Tire did not want to do the trade but Colville Tire did.Just installed new 35 inch tires as some of you saw my previous post spent the better part of an hour looking at my tires wondering why they seemed narrower than my 33’s only to find that I bought load range E tires. I am wondering the same thing but he did join in 2018, that's a long time to hold on to a fake account.Hahaha something is fishy with the whole post. It’s like it’s a fake Account or something. Suddenly he is nowhere to be found when there is no 35 on a 15” rim that comes in a E rating.
Why would he say he has E rated tires? The whole point of buying 15” rims is for the better load rating lol. Its oddI am wondering the same thing but he did join in 2018, that's a long time to hold on to a fake account.
