What did you do to your TJ today?

Replaced the headlights last night. I first replaced just one light to compare against stock. The amount of light (lumens?) from one new light is way greater, maybe 50%, over an area about 10x larger than stock. The stock flood lights are now useless with the LED headlights on.
I'll replace the trim rings when I do another night drive to see if I want to adjust anything.

What lights did you get? That upgrade is on my list. Factory lights are very dim.

I got around to finally replacing the broken sun visor bracket. I used an aluminum replacement from ebay. Needed to use a 5/16 bit so the bracket would rest down where it needed to on the rod

Found out how bad Fluid Film smells, that shit is NASTY! Lol

it takes about 2-3 days to offgas. in the meantime, it stinks. i did figure out that the dog likes sniffing the underside of the jeep suddenly though.

it gives me a headache after being in the presence of the odor of fluid film for a while.

Finally bit the bullet and broke down and paid the outrageous shipping price to get the parts I need for my JKS links. Since I was paying that much for shipping I went ahead and bought the right U brackets for them and also got the storage pin thingy. LOL Can't wait to get them so I can finally install them. :D

First sunny, non raining, non-snowing, non-snowing and raining day in a spell. Seemed like a good time to install Christmas and birthday gifts that have been accumulating. Rugged Ridge Dash Multi-mount and a Qi charger. Still need to route the charge cord so it’s hidden for the most part. Then installed the tailgate shelf my wife and son gave me for my birthday.

I got these from Amazon

because I decided to be impatient. I think the ones for AliExpress are likely identical.

@reddvltj @k-huevo @Davidtj
I wanted to tag you guys to say thanks!

I bled my brakes and checked backspacing today. I have the same issue k-huevo mentioned, I have 3.25" but that isn't available so far. Plus, mine are polished aluminum. I'd like to end up with no difference or only one difference. It is annoying to spend money on something with two mismatch issues. Backspacing AND finish...

Stahlbus drain installed. Should make oil changes a little easier and cleaner without removing skid. Drive shaft also arrived from TW after getting lengthened. Reinstalled today.

Looks great. Which part number did you order for the LJ? I am getting ready to install my engine skid and should do this at the same time.

I purchased that jeep I was mentioning earlier 2001 60th edition model. Thanks for the help sorting the issues I posted earlier.

And I changed out the transfer case fluid to try to deal with the moisture that was in it and inspected the breather hose. The hose wasn't well routed and I fixed that and think that the moisture came when he pulled the 5 speed a few months ago and had it rebuilt. Hope that is all because it doesn't look to be leaking anywhere. I will check it in a few weeks and plan to do a SYE when I do the lift so will have a chance to put eyes on the inside of it then.

Maybe upgrade the bulbs in the Flood lights to a nice yellow for a different/wider spectrum

May have to get the aluminum ones. My 5 year old grabbed onto the passenger side one and broke it right off. Have a much better working radio after this weekend though, so can't complaint
