Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I just bought a '99 Jeep Wrangler 4.0 with a big ass lift, lol. No idea all the proper terminology on everything yet. I'm super excited to start getting it cleaned up and making it my own! Once the clutch is replaced I'll be able to actually drive it for the first time... hopefully next week!

I've wanted a Jeep for a lot of years and finally pulled the trigger. My dad's nickname was RockHopper but I never got the chance to go out with him before he passed last year. I didn't make the connection until the night I bought my Jeep, but it was the day before the one year anniversary of his death. So it was meant to be.

Anyway, I've got a lot to learn. I'm hoping to join a local Jeep club as soon as I find one so that I can learn from folks both here and in person. I'm Central Point, Oregon near Medford. Lot's of beautiful country in this area to explore, from mountains to coastal beaches and dunes.

My Jeep came with a Hi-Lift jack and I've already learned on here that I should probably get rid of it, lol. So if anyone has any suggestions on anything at all, I'm all ears. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Lora

Welcome from Northern California. Your Dad would be proud of you. You've come to the right place to learn all about your TJ. Congratulations on your TJ. I like the color! :)

Welcome to the forum from Salem, Oregon. There are indeed tons of Oregonians on here.

Great looking TJ, and really great to see another female face on here. For whatever reason or another, it seems like all the women are driving newer JKs or JLs, and so whenever we see one driving a TJ, it's quite a rare sighting.

Anyways, I'm sure your dad would be proud of you, that's a mighty fine looking TJ!

Nice TJ!
Front sprigs are 12’ inches and rears are 8 inches. Anything over that is your lift.
I lived way out in O’Brien south of CJ from ‘97 till 2001

Thanks Chris :) Yay, glad to bring some girl power, lol.

Welcome from the other side of the country! You came to the right place - lots of great people here, willing to help and very knowledgeable.

Just make sure you post pics with your questions... and avoid questions about angry bird grills or flaming exhaust systems...:cautious:

Love your TJ!

Thanks David... and apparently questions about Hi-Lift jacks :)

Welcome aboard. Guessing 35's and 6" of lift? It's definitely in the nose bleed section, lol!

Looks like a Rubicon Express lift, if it’s got short arms it’s a 4-1/2” lift“. How about some pictures underneath?
