I don't want to know how much I have invested in my TJ

I like to focus on the initial purchase price. Like a cover charge. “Yeah that’s right, I got in to the Jeep bar the night that the TJ band was playing for (insert initial purchase price here) but Lord have mercy don’t look look at my tab!”
That's funny. I like it.

I keep a pretty detailed spreadsheet of that has a log of all the items I've done to my Jeep and another tab that lists all the things I'd want to do.

I recently deleted the dollar column :) I figured money spent is money spent.
However, for the todo list, it is highly valuable. I was almost ready to drop some money on a new sound system when I looked at the list and reminded myself it isn't as high priority as the new front shafts I want.

paid 9900$ for my Jeep and have def poured more into it than that. Crazy to think about it, but then realize how much I’ve enjoyed it. Life’s too short man!

I can think of too many reasons not to bring all this up.

Funny how we brag about how little we bought it for then brag about how much we dumped into it.

The term "Financial Genius" isn't seen on here a lot .
Yeah, I'm kinda sorry I bought it up. I wish I could delete it.

Some investments earn money, some investments lose money, Jeep investments pay dividends in smiles for miles.

If you spend you're life solely chasing money, you'll end up on your death bed with a thousand regrets. You can't take it with you. "Life Genius"

Yeah, I'm kinda sorry I bought it up. I wish I could delete it.

there's absolutely no reason to

When you track maintenance, tires, oil, it will tell you you wasted little. Mods are a different matter.

I had my YJ for 15 years. Bought it for $4500, sold it for $3500. Spent $16K on it. My wife thought are you nuts...... So she buys a new Legacy 3.6R for $33K, sells it 5 years later for $13K..... and says I am nuts !!! You do the math.

Guaranteed spending money on mods is not an investment but Wranglers hold value better than any other vehicle. Be smart, frugal with your mods OR find the vehicle with all the mods you want done.... Win, Win.

Well the main reason I don't say much is either someone will think I'm bragging, lying or insane

And I think most of you guys will agree.... Whatever it is... It is so worth it.

I look at it like there will be no inheritance for the kids to fight over because I spent there inheritance on the Jeep and I’m taking that with me when I go.

I don't care what I put into it---I plan to keep it for as long as I can drive it.
Also the new ones cost so much. I will never get back what I spent so far but
consider it the cost of entertainment (on the trails).
