Midnight LJR Build

What do you guys do with the plastic windows when you take the top off? I've heard claims that they're super delicate but I need to take them with me in case I need to put the top back on.

I store them behind the seat vertically. It takes up a bit of space but keeps them nice.

I have no clue what you would do with them in a TJ.

Sorry, I'm talking the rear and rear side windows. The ones that zip into the top.

Ah, I never had a OEM style before so used to leave them home.

My current plan with the new one is to use some type of thin microfiber cut to match then just roll them up. I figure it is the plastic on plastic that causes scratches. But still need to research if there is a better solution.

If possible and you have the space, a padded case with microfiber in between each one so you don’t have to roll them up would be better. And correct, the least amount of contact on each other the better.

I have a Mopar storage bag. Hold upper half doors and the three remaining windows plus the tailgate bar. Uses some sort of microfiber style sheet between each layer of window. I usually lay it flat in the cargo area since I don't have a back seat, but have put it upright behind the back seat a few times.

I wonder if they make one for an LJ.

Lj windows may not fit in that. The clover patch bag is what I use for my rear LJ windows.

Ok just got done on a 3 hour drive up to my folks cabin.

Updating my review the new uppers are significantly quieter. I did not pick up on it by myself because there is about the same amount of wind noise. But once my wife and I where in the car together we both could tell we were not having to raise our voices at all on the freeway like we did before.

Also the roads very windy up to the cabin and I still can’t believe how this thing drives, every corner puts a big smile on my face.

Hard top on?

I've also got a set of each I was going to try. I suspect that the hard windows will be my go to due to tree branches and dirt (the entry fee of trails around here).
