Any suggestions on removing the adhesive on the rubber backer for the Rubicon Rocker Guards? Tried Goo Gone and Acetone with minimal results.

I redid a set of rubicon rocker guards I used Go Gone and let it soak be liberal. Can’t right off.. then I used 3M double sided tape to get it back on the rocker guard

The best thing I've ever used to get that stuff off of items was my thumb or finger, With a thumb or finget dry, just push it and roll it up to remove it. May take a while and may end up with a few blisters.

I've mentioned this before, LectricShave is one of the most amazing things I've seen for removal of sticky gummy gunk. I don't know what's in it. My father used it for years (on his face) and also to remove vinyl sticker and poison ivy sap. It even worked when I super glued my fingers together.

Goo Gone works great. The trick is you have to let it sit for a long time. Soak it and let it sit for an hour. Then come back with a scraper tool and it will come right off with not too much work.

Use a heat gun or hairdryer to heat it up really good. Peel as much off as you can, then hit it with soap and water and scrub with a rag. It’ll come off. I had two stickers I took off of my current Jeep that had been there for years. Left all kinds of adhesive behind. The above process left the finish nice and clean.
