Beau and Me.jpg

I am new to this Forum but not a new Jeep owner. I bought my first classic Jeep vehicle, a 1986 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade in 1987. Was forced to sell it under extreme duress in 1992 but went on to purchase a 1995 Wrangler YJ Rio Grande and later a 2002 TJ-X before trading for the 2006 TJ-X you see in this photo. All of my classic Jeep vehicles have been named. First, was CeeJay, then Cubby, then Critter and now C'Est Beau or just Beau for short. He wears a Georgia prestige tag C BEAU which is French shorthand meaning He's Beautiful. I chose a French name for my 06 after watching the very funny comedy movie, Mr. Bean's Holiday starring Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean. There's a great secne in the film that features a Jeep TJ. Classic Jeep vehicles are quite popular in Europe as well as in the US and elsewhere in the world. Here's a link to the Jeep clip from the movie--wait for it. But let me open up a topic for discussion: What did you name your Jeep?

Our three vehicles are the Jeep, the Truck, and My Car (wife's).

Nice Jeep! I love the half doors (when topless, don't care for soft upper doors).

Perfect introduction, by the way...picture first, details to follow...

Welcome! As far as naming my Jeeps; I usually don't. Name calling and curse words when I'm working on it sometimes, but usually no.

Welcome. Love the half doors. White is a great color on a jeep. I just call mine "blue" (cause it's patriot blue). But I need to come up with something different.

Welcome!
I was actually born in Georgia, Agusta.

Jeep and i are yet to be on a first name basis but we are becoming quite amorous......when the wife is working.

Oh and love the Jeep.

Awesome looking TJ @Red Tag 501!

I love white, and I love the half doors. It looks really, really clean! Got any plans for it?

BTW, nice movie scene! I haven't seen that movie, so I didn't know there was a TJ in it.

Nice Jeep! Details? I don't really name many of my cars...but I have taken to calling mine Rubi (short for Rubicon) Its not very creative...
A name doesn't need to be highly creative to be endearing which is the point. One tends to take better care of a vehicle that is loved enough to have a name. My '86 CJ-7 Renegade had a similarly not-so-creative name, "CeeJay" but I loved and adored that Jeep.

Anyway, Beau is a 2006 Jeep TJ-X. Mostly stock but 33" tires, no lift, wide flares and a brush guard bumper apparently added by the dealer when new. I bought this Jeep in Alabama with 17K on the clock in 2009 and just turned 56K. Runs like a champ. A keeper for sure. Gets lots of looks and an occasional offer to buy.

Great movie, filmed mainly in France and uproariously funny. I got a huge crush on co-star, French actress Emma de Caunes from watching this film.

As for my Jeep, no plans for mods. I'm a bit of a purist. I do need new seat covers and a new top. I just bought new tires for it last year. I'm only into very light off roading--nothing axle breaking. Just cruising with the top down when the weather is nice is more my thing.

Speaking of cruising, gotta have some good Jeep cruising tunes. I like country music amongst other types. Here's a favorite of mine . . .

I love good country music and blues too!

I don't blame you on the purist thing either. I've become that way the older I get. I always say if I could do it all over again I wouldn't do much more than a 2" lift, some 31" tires and a winch!

That's a great song and video. Thanks for sharing, never heard that song before.

Awesome looking Jeep. I recently joined the TJ club (02 Sahara). I named her Tanya (for Tanya Tucker). My girlfriend back in High school (and still good friend) had a white TJ Sahara that she called Tucker James that was unfortnately totalled in an accident. Had a lot of good memories in that Jeep so I figured I'd keep the Tucker name alive.

It's a Jeep thing, the video is mostly Cherokees, I especially liked the one with the Waggy.
I grew up in a family of Jeep purists, my uncles only drove Willys, and always said that a Jeep doesn't need any tires larger than 31" or engines bigger than six cylinders.

Love those wheels!

Yes, another white Jeep member fills the ranks! I'm not much into naming my vehicles, but my wife and kids like to. When they asked me what I wanted to name my jeep, I said "I don't care, call it Bob." So that name stuck hence my login.
