Who has steelies? (pics and discussion)

Just getting to work on it. I know, back tires are different than the front. I like Mumblewood's roll bar with no padding. My padding has lost it's color. I think I will take it off if it doesn't effect the soft top.

I cannot find some that are not bent or out of round, leading to horrible front end shake. Even new out of the box the soft 8’s suck

How do you guys go about finding interesting steel wheels? I like the style that the red Rubicon in the first post has.
Those are Mopar steel wheels. They run in sizes anywhere from 5.5 inches wide, all the way up to 8" wide, though they're a little more difficult to find. If you want to run the Mopar cop car wheels, they're being reproduced in 10" wide versions, as well as the usual widths. Examples below...

Who sells them?
Wheel Vintiques, Summit Racing, Jegs, Coker, etc. Hit a local wrecking yard and look for somewhat "vintage" Chrysler products. Half-ton vans and pickups ran 'em, as well as full size passenger cars. Craigslist is a decent resource, as well. Swap meets, too.

For some reason the mopar wheels are hard to find (originals) and some guys selling them think they’re made out of gold for what they want for them. Some ford wheels also fit, like from a crown vic, although the one I tried wouldn’t quite fit over the center(?) but it would with a little file work, I’m guessing 1/16” or less.

Not sure if it's been addressed yet but does anyone with steels have issues balancing or vibration?

Other than the weight that's the only negative I can think of. I like the look and of course cost.
