There are not a lot of trails here on the Kenai Peninsula but this one offers the best possibility of great views when the weather is cooperating. Its difficulty varies on time of year and weather like most Alaska trails as there was still several feet of snow up top three weeks ago. This weekend a TJ on 30s can make it with a little effort but be ready for lots of AK pinstriping (Alder and Devils Club) and lots of tight switchbacks. My friend took his wife's JKU and had lots of backing and filling to do and we were socked in at the top but the after a long hiatus of actual wheeling other than the beach it was nice to get out. Since the way up was all in the fog I the pics will start from the top and work down as the fog lifted some on the way down.
