Here's a reason most TJs are lifted.
A couple of fat asses who lived in town would get out of their car it would spring up, the guy driving would put a towel between his gut, and the steering wheel.

Caught this guy out for a midday stroll. No, there were no clouds in the sky and yes that is smoke sitting just above the valley floor.

This is on the Manitou Springs & Pikes Peak RR. The 100+ year old rail bed is being replaced. We are somewhere around 11,000”. I did an adjustment on the big yellow thing for the customer.
