My son just text me a picture of the TJ he just purchased.
He picked it up for $2,300.00 and it's a 60th anniversary edition.

Sounds worth it, especially for someone with knowledge and time to put into it. Could turn out to be a steal

That's a great deal if the rust isn't too bad. You could part it out and make more than what he paid for it. The hard top, wheels, axles are worth it. I've read that a lot of the 60th anniversary jeeps had the dana 44 in the rear. Does his?

Yes it has the Dana 44. I did some research on the 60th and found it to be a rare model that only came in black or silver. Less than 5000 built and black was the lesser of the two colors.

What's that, a surveillance photo? We need something up close and personal!

That was the first thought when I saw the photo . . .

"My son just text me a picture of the TJ he's been stalking.
He stole it last night and it's a 60th anniversary edition."

This was priced right. He's driving it, but in the last two days has had to put a new starter in it, both front calipers seized up, radiator leaks, power steering quit yesterday, but worked today, and today check engine light blinked a misfire code.
I told him I checked Craigslist to see if he had it up for sale.
He picked this Jeep up because he sold his pick up and needed a DD until he finds another truck. I told him he can't go wrong with a TJ. I'm not so sure about this one though.

Well I guess you know why it was priced so low. Hopefully he can get it squared away without too much hassle or expense.
