Daily Driver, Go Where I Want To Build

And a York update. This one is much quieter than the previous. I can barely hear it run over the 2k engine rpm while filling tires.

And still no more squeal from the serpentine belt. I also noticed that the engine idle was noticably quieter, so I wonder if changing both and belt and tensioner was a good thing. The old idler didn't spin as freely as the new one does.

The Patagonias are nearing their ridiculous and embarrassing end after a small weekend road trip. The tires sound like a squealing pig and the handling on our worn and rutted highways is almost dangerous. They will have lasted 6 months and nowhere near 10k miles.

I have absolutely nothing good to say about Milestar Patagonias. Do not buy! These were free with a set of wheels. That is all they are worth.

Goodyear MTR/k's are on order through Discount Tire and I should be driving away with them by Wednesday.

holy crap, what's with the uneven wear?...it's not centered like overinflation but it's not all the way to the edge like an alignment issue.

It's a bummer 'cause I was interested in saving some money but even with their low price you're money ahead to buy something better.

I was never mad at or disappointed with my Duratracs or Cooper ST Maxxes. They did what they were supposed to do. The Patagonias have been one let down after another.

They must have one hell of a marketing department. I've only heard heard great things about them. My MT/Rs with Kevlar have around 7-8k on them and are starting to show some wear. (All trail/going to trails miles)

After a quick drive, things are much better. The Jeep is back to one handed driving and I can make a turn onto a side street without squealing.

They look great!! When you have a chance can you measure the height? I'm curious how much height I've lost since new.

When's your next trail run?

I know the MTR's aren't directional but having the driver's side one way and the passenger side the other would irk me ;) Maybe it is just the picture.

Starting tread depth

Vertical height, give or take a bit

Horizontal diameter give or take a bit. Goodyear says 34.8"and that looks about right.

I'm starting off at 25psi. The Patagonias were run at 24psi.

There is a big run to Chinaman Gulch in Buena Vista on Saturday. It's the annual semi-organized fall event.
