Are locker pumps supposed to sound like this?

Every time I try to turn on the lockers, they give me issues. Turn them on, and the rear engages pretty quickly, then the front will stay flashing for a long time and eventually engage. Try to turn them off, and they stay engaged, sometimes even if the dash indicator turns off.

Here’s what it sounds like when you turn the key to on and try to engage. They kept going like this long after both dash indicators went solid. I flipped the switch back up to disengage both and the rear indicator went blank immediately but the front indicator just keeps flashing.

is it possible that I have a leak or bad sensor?

My oem pumps sound nothing like that. Mines not a rubicon so the pumps are wired directly instead of through the jeep.

Sounds like the tiny motors on your pumps have gone bad. My oem 06 Rubicon ones sound like a tiny little air compressor and burble for a few seconds to engage the locker and will actuate again every few minutes to maintain pressure. They sound exactly like Alex01 above.
