Are all hood louvers equal?

That’s what I planned to use. I have heard of nibblers though and have space for more tools.
Nibblers would do a better job, they cut With a punch and die taking little crescent shaped bites that will somehow find there way into the soles of your shoes and your carpet. It’s the tool of choice for cutting metal roofing. I have one for sheet metal and another for gauge metal.

I am running the PS version and have it on for a couple of years now and still looks like new. The logo not a big deal but I did paint the area black before installing it so it does not really even show up. But then I have a 4" lift, a 1" BL and 35's. I can say that buying cheap Chinese stuff I have seen the powder coating fade or chip after a year or two. Just check out some Smittybuilt stuff or cheap LED lights, look at the finish after a couple of years. My PS stuff and Ridgid Lights are more costly but still look new and not faded black. It's like a lot if things where you get what to pay for.

This is part of why I bought the GR, but the image of a light outline wasn’t what I got. I didn’t mess with it though.

The paint in the center of our hood was blowing out, so we ended up putting a vinyl decal on it, and also cut in the smaller Rugged Ridge hood vents to help cool the engine compartment. Looks great. I didn't like the way the full hood louvers looked with the rivets and how it was not flush to the hood when installed.

@rasband what did you do for mounting the windshield spray nozzle? I see no mention of it in the directions.
I used a dremel from the back side and followed the cutout that was in the hood. I cut out just a little too much so used some RTV to hold it in place (again on the under side).

Makes sense. I noticed you used the original washer. I was thinking I’d buy a new generic one for a round hole and try that. Hadn’t considered my dremel.

I did the other holes with an ingersoll nibler, that was amazing but it won’t work for the washer hole in the louver.

The round generic one is probably easier! It’s just a nozzle, I honestly didn’t even think I could just change that!
