before and after.

Not only the clearance bit it’s amazing how much better it looks!
He is happy about the big picture, I'm happier with all the small stuff we took care of.
Center console was missing a screw under the shifter boot.
Shifter hit the edge of the hole and moved the console around.
New weather strip was getting pinched by the door and stuck out each time the door was shut.
Door hinge bushings were completely shot.
Sliding clutch on the winch was rusted solid in place so there was no free spool.
Savvy rear bumper brace was missing a screw on each side.
Grounds were under screws at PCM. One was a #12 ring terminal on an 18g wire.
Excess wire for various appliances was bundled up. We cut out the slack.
Winch cable was the wrong color.

lol at Winch Cable. All those things you take care of is one of the great things about having you work on a Jeep. I am very happy for him because I know how good of work you do.

Definitely happy about the big picture as well as lots of the little things that you start to “live with” that were taken care of when @mrblaine got his hands on it. You don’t realize how much better it can be when someone with that kind of experience gets fresh eyes on the rig. My doors close probably better than they did out of the box. Things like the center console for the 02-03 not marrying up to the 05-06 body was a just something I got used to, but the corrections made give the jeep better shifting and a finished feel I didn’t know was possible. Yes, I need a few lessons in wiring but now everything under the hood is so neat and tidy I don’t know which wiring is stock and which wiring is new 😉 And to top it off, coming to pick up the jeep I am surprised with my winch having being taken apart, fixed, and spooled with a new synthetic winch line. The work done is everything I asked for and more. I’m counting the hours until the weekend!

@Nickgsjeep what size wheel spacers are you using?
The spidertrax 1.25 inch spacers. This is something I’ll have to monitor when I get it off road. As of right now clearances are great but I’ll have to see how bad it rubs the shock body when off roading. After talking with Blaine, he seems to think the spacers now will be fine but I just have to pay attention at first to make sure the rub isn’t to bad.

Right! I think my Jeep is going to go to Blaine’s for a yearly inspection. 😃

Here @mattcogdell hope these help a little to give you an idea
To clarify in case others may get confused. The clearances at the rod end in the lower circle are tight. But, due to how the arm laid out with the bends being right at the back edge of the shock mount, it will be virtually impossible to push the arm over and get the end hung up on something that can bend it, the link, or the arm. Upper circle is how tight the arm is to the mount. It may touch as the bushings wear and the spacers we used wear, but that won't hurt anything and it won't let the end of the arm be dislocated to cause any issues.

I told Nick I should just start a service where you drop your rig off and throw lots of money at me. Then we go through and fix all the little things that bug me. I didn't fix any of that stuff because he asked me to, I fixed it because it bugged me. Shit like that just annoys the crap out of me and I can only ignore it for a certain amount of time before I walk away or fix it.

They are going to rub. How much is what we need to figure out. We won't know until you wheel it some.
