That's because it's the best color.
I miss my khaki TJ. I thought the bright silver on this LJ would grow on me, but 5 yrs in and I'm still meh on it.
You could always go with a 2 tone!
I'm slowly painting mine from the original Bright Silver, which I sort of like, to something that's very close to the Sting Grey that's found on JK's.

They never are! I like to think I'm close to finishing mine but there's always something to change. I painted it to match my LJ ... post #47 above. I need to put the 2 of them together for a pic.
Here is how mine is currently sitting. I just need to finish painting the front of the frame and then make a support system for the canvas cover. New military wheels and regular tires as well.

Yup, probably my least favorite Big Bear trail, but it leads to Holcomb which is my favorite.
When I first got it on stock suspension and 31's 5 years ago right before adding 2" springs,
Last month on 2" lift before we swapped the suspension and wheels on my daughters TJ,
and finally now with 4" lift and 33's.
