After reading @Chris talk about how LITTLE he wheeled while living up here I was looking at some pictures of trips and realized that if you wheel up here you can't be afraid of the MUD or water or rain or snow.

All 4 squirrels going all out. I have the Tera Low 4:1 in my TJ at this point.

Now THAT is some mud.

Hate when you break that rear u-joint out in the middle of this damn mud field. Thankfully there was a tree to winch off of.

1 Ton Axles and Hummer rims to keep it from being SUPER wide.

But where else do you get views like this?

Awesome photos, but yep, you won’t catch me near mud or water unless I am riding with someone else 🤣

That like saying you can't go outside if it's raining..... Good God people on the wetside would be stuck indoors 300 days out of the year.

The only time I spent outside when it was raining was getting out of my vehicle and walking into some place 🤣

Now you know why I moved. I am a huge outdoor guy, but the rain simply isn’t my thing, especially when it’s constant and gloomy.

Love the scenery, just don’t like all the wet 😉

Yep I get it and I know a lot of other people who are just like you that live up here in the PNW. Heck when I was younger I use to even go swimming in the rain. I mean if you let the rain stop you you'd never do anything.
But yes I do get it. It's why I don't own a buggy too. I want some creature comforts when I wheel and it's nasty outside.

I've enjoyed that tundra mud before. And I think the mud in Iraq would beat the smell of your mud.
I am sure their is smellier mud out there. While the smell is not as bad, Kenai beach mud is the worst. Salt, clay and gravel mud the consistancy of wet concrete, Nasty to get stuck in and rots your rig too.

PNW weather adds another element to wheeling, which in turn challenges the rig and yourself. Only been here for 1.5 years and I’m glad I’m stationed here for that PNW experience.

Yes after being stationed in a lot of other places and gotten the chance to wheel in a lot of them I really enjoy the challenges it adds to our wheeling. Getting to run trails dry and then turn around a week later and run them wet is great for learning when and how traction works. Then when it snows that just adds to the whole fun factor. I LOVE rock crawling and like going to places where I can do it but like coming back here.

I think people have a different thought on what mud wheeling in the PNW is all about. It’s not just a mud hole to drive through. Here It’s a trail system on mountain hills with mud. Ya can’t avoid it in most places around here at any time of the year.
I’ll look for some pics when I have time.
Wildman will probably attest to Liberty wheeling in the summer is real pretty but kind of boring, but come September/October, totally different/ hard as hell and fun as fuck

Yes Liberty is tough in May and late in the year when it's wet again. Almost had 2 of our club members killed up there in 2018. They were almost to the top of a hill when their YJ bounced and the rear u-joint strap broke and it rolled multiple time back down the hill.

My Jeep broke down here so this was as far as I got in it this trip to Liberty.

And then in July when it's dry....

Yes those pictures in my first post were from a trail that was mostly MUD the whole day. And depending on when run the trails in the Naches area those trails can be mud except for when you're on the rocks. They've really shut down a lot of that because of the damage being done to the trail system. With most of the wheeling areas on the west side closed down now the influx of people has really been a huge HIT on the trails in central WA over the past 15 years.
