Is there any reason to not use the $12 bluetooth models on Amazon or are they just as good as the $50 and up models?
I went with BlueDriver, which I think was around $100. I believe the less expensive scanners basically read and erase codes. With BlueDriver you also have live data, smog check to test emissions readiness, and freeze frame, which will show all the sensor values when an MIL is set.Is there any reason to not use the $12 bluetooth models on Amazon or are they just as good as the $50 and up models?

I think the BlueDriver is okay but not amazing. It does not communicate with all of the sensors, basically...
ECT
IAT
O2 sensors
Fuel Trim
TPS
Calculated engine load (peak torque)
Speed
RPMs
Absolute Manifold Pressure
The live data is super helpful for diagnostics. I just wish I could get transmission temp, battery temp, actual battery voltage.

I've also been very happy with the Torque Pro App (only for android iirc) with a $20 Bluetooth dongle from Amazon for watching real-time O2 numbers, other real-time operations, and scanning/deleting P0 codes. I also keep a cheap corded scanner handy as a backup.I use the vgate icar pro. IIRC I only paid like $20 or maybe even less. Paired with the $5 Torque Pro app on my Samsung, it works great. When I travel I usually have it on just to keep an eye on things. Instant MPGs, average MPGs, speed difference, fuel flow, coolant temps, o2 readings, throttle input, intake temps, and several more. Have been able to read codes, and clear the CEL afterwards. Worth it in my opinion
I'm wanting to get a scanner for my TJ's, and I've been looking on Amazon at the Bluetooth ones to work with my iPhone/Pad. The prices seem to vary a bunch, so I wanted to see what y'all had, and if they worked well.
Thanks!!
Does this device properly communicate and allow us to read/delete SRS codes and codes associated with failed/replaced speed sensors? Here is your model LAUNCH OBD2 Scanner CRP123-2021 Model. This model supported wifi and Bluetooth also the price is very reasonable. so you can buy it from amazon.
