Hey guys. Anyone can tell me if a lift kit for a 07 jk will work on 99 tj? Mainly just the springs, shocks and sway bar links. I'm sure track bar bracket is different. Before the questions of why and replies of its stupid and waste. It's a new and free kit. While I'm saving money for a Currie kit, I'd like to use this one if I could.

Can you explain how results vary? Parts will either fit or won't. No? Or if they do fit is there a special way to fit?
I have a set of 33s sitting in garage and I want to throw them on. I don't care about doing the work twice when I get the kit I want.
Most people get way more lift in the rear. It depends on which JK springs are being used. I wouldn't use the shocks or springs from a JK just because of the weight difference and work involved.

Front springs will not give near as much lift as the rear springs will, so you'd either need different front springs, of use the JK ones and a spacer. Stock JK shocks work for around the 2-3" lift range on a TJ, so if the shocks are from a JK lift kit, chances are they'll be too long. The front shocks will also either need a bar pin installed for the lower mount, or use a bar pin eliminator.

The rear springs also won't fit over the cup that keeps them in place, so cutting/grinding of the spring will be needed.

It's honestly not worth the time, effort and work needed to make it half ass work.
