What did you do to your TJ today?

Took the lady friend to a local off-road park today. Her first time driving off pavement. She had a blast and learned a lot!

Yah, bought it today, returned it today. That one was garbage. Didn't even install it. Inserting the key and turning was all I had to do, and it was apparent junk.

Went to PepBoys and they had a USA made Stant. It looks identical to the stock one. Will know if it works tomorrow. Driving down to the Jersey shore, first thing am.

So to drop a little knowledge depending on year; the plunger, that damn awful thing that causes the splash back, will not allow anything beyond it. Meaning, there is no way to siphon from the tank. Meaning, a locking gas cap isn't necessary.

Why a locking gas cap, is someone trying to steal your gas? Have you ever tried to siphon gas out of a TJ?

Nah, not that at all. I'm more concerned w despicable people pouring sh*t into my tank. I didn't check where you live so I can't speak for your location. But NJ isn't all grand.

I settled w a non locking cap, anyway. The locking mechanisms are cumbersome and we don't pump our own gas in NJ. It would wind up being more a nuisance for me and the gas attendants.

Yep, thank you. I read that a few days back, as well as heard it directly from a gentleman at the dealership months ago when I dropped by looking for a locking Mopar fuel cap. I told him the same thing I keep repeating, 'not worried about theft. It's simple preventative deterrent for low lives.' His response was, 'just be a nice guy' hahaa

Just a heads up about the locking gas caps. They are bad to leak air and throw a code. I had one that done it and switched back to a regular one and haven't had any problems since.
Had the same problem with an after market. Bought a locking cap from Mopar and no more issues.

Glad to see that some were able to get out and enjoy their Jeeps. I was busy putting on new brakes, front and rear, new exhaust, removing the old soft top to make room for the new, trying to install new speakers, removing roll bar pads, new air filter, new oil dipstick, removed the factory rear bumper to be painted, and getting it cleaned up. Let's just say bought a Jeep that needs a little TLC. Might try to tackle the Herculiner in the tub this week. Anyone have any feedback on roll in bed liners?

And how does it drive? What's your vibe situation? Hope :)

Vibes are better but not gone all the way. Gonna play around with pinion angles some more to see if I can get it better.

Took the kids up for a little wheelin and exploring. Mostly milder stuff with some off camber flexy stuff. The girls were giggling in that nervous girl laughter which cracked me and my son up. :D This spot had the Jeep teetering a few inches off the ground on the passenger rear and drivers front tire (sway bar connected). So I jumped out and rocked it back and forth a bit for the girls. They were crackin up :D Need me some Anti Rock goodness for sure. And now the gratuitous poser pic :D

Where did ya'll go? Hope you climbed to beat this heat!

So last week was an expensive week. I bought a new soft top, Bestop Supertop NX Twill, which I received today. I bought a new steering wheel cover from Wheel Skins. And, I bought new seat covers from Bartact.

I didn't get a picture, but I installed the steering wheel cover yesterday. And I'm not happy with the soft top. I was hoping to install it this coming weekend, but it's going to be 72º all week, and rain. Crap. So that will have to wait.
The seat covers have a 5 week lead time, but I can wait on that.
