Hey guys, I'm listing my 2004 TJ Rubicon with 39,482 miles, I bought awhile back. I'm realizing that two cars in Baltimore isn't a great idea and I've barely driven her over the past year and a half.

Condition

I've included the maintenance I've done since I bought it, but notable things include new Best Top Windows, new Duratrec tires, new battery, and a ceramic coating. It has been garage kept as long as I've owned it (and never on the trail :(). It is completely stock other than the rock sliders which I'm not a huge fan of. It looks like the shocks have been changed at some point as well. Yes, it is registered in Michigan but it has never been up to see those salty roads and has only resided it in VA and MD. I haven't taken it out when the roads were salted and you can see that the frame condition reflects that.

I have tons more pictures available for interested parties as well as a Carfax report. I am the third owner (four are reported, but one is the dealer that I bought it from I'm pretty sure). No accidents that I know of, have been in, or that are reported on the Carfax; it is in great condition.

Cleaned debris from under the cowl.
Installed Bosch Icon 13A windshield wipers.
37,77426 Mar 2020Changed front and rear diff fluid with Royal Purple 75w-140. Tech noted that old diff fluid was clear; no water in previous fluid. Transfer case drained and filled with Royal Purple ATF4. Inspected breaks and found no issues. Performed alignment.
37,93303 May 2020Installed new battery just for peace of mind. Odyssey Extreme Series AGM.
Lubed caliper sliding pins.
Noted that brake pads were on the wrong side (passenger on driver). Swapped.
37,94109 May 2020Replaced front brake pads and rotors (Black magic brakes and centric 120.67045).
05 June 2020Flushed coolant with Zero G-05.
38,04229 May 2020Replaced all five tires with Duratrec LT245/75R16 108Q Load C

Some Things I've Noticed

  • Sometimes there is a brake squeak on the driver's front side when the brakes are cold. It is not noticeable at all when the top is up. I've brought it in twice and the techs have never been able to hear it or find anything wrong. I've also flushed the brake fluid and changed the rotors/pads. Haven't been bothered to investigate any further.
  • It does have the common RMS leak but I only noticed it after switching to synthetic oil. The previous conventional oil never dripped. The oil level has never gone done over the year the current oil has been in there, so I have never been bothered to fix it.
  • Deeper scratch on the hood where the clear coat is gone (depicted).

Included (if the buyer wants):

  • Yakima Bike Rack
  • The OEM Insta-Trunk that is shown installed in the trunk.

Shoot me a message if you are interested!

Where's the hardtop ? Theres buttons for the rear wiper n washer but no hardtop ...?...
Not sure, was not passed down to me. If you're interested in this Jeep, a hardtop, and a road trip, the hardtop to my previous 02 TJ is sitting up with my folks in central Michigan and my father would surely love to have it out of his barn! I'm sure he'd throw in a case of beer too. :D

The jeep definately looks very nice and clean but im trying to figure out why the starter and solenoid look so extremely rusted and some parts and edges of the engine in the pic that has the purple oil filter. Its like just those parts were given a salt bath but everything else is nice.

Yeah, it is quite curious. I couldn’t really tell ya, having it for only a year and half. Happy to take more pictures and am open to offers if you’re interested!
