I have Goodyear wranglers and the black rubber around the lettering is peeling. Makes the white letters look bad so I vote white letters in.

I agree with white letters out, especially for your jeep. I think it depends a lot on the color, the wheels and the tires but with an all black jeep and black wheels I think white letters out would look a lot better. I am planning on getting ko2s and the same or a very similar wheel and will be going white letters out

But as others have said the white letters out will look bad after a while, my tires are like that. I'm sure it would be easy to paint over the white again later though

Like most preference opinions, it usually comes down to what you're used to. In your mind, it only looks right a certain way.
So, if you're old enough to remember (or driven) an old CJ, they usually had white letters out. That was the style back then.
IMO, white letters out looks good, but will never hold up on the trail, so mine are in (for now).

BSW tires unless it's 1980 where you're at and/or your TJ has chrome double tube bumpers

White letters in. Mine are out but going put them in with new wheels. If you don’t like seeing the white on the inside, a little rattle can flat black will fix it.

It really does depend on where you going in your TJ..... @LONGJP2 has already said what I was thinking some of the older CJ's had the letters out ...and that gets my vote. (but I'm old school)
