TJ drives much better after going down to 32 inch tires from aggressive 33s

Man it may be time for a set of spark plugs.... You can gradually lose power not realize it and these things don't have a lot of power to lose.
I was being facetious lol Plugs are less than a year old, I actually drive how my engine tells me to and mine seems to have heaps of power when I use the 6 speed as its intended! 5th in a 5 speed is basically O/D, who goes up hill in 5th especially in a TJ that doesnt have any power to loose? :)

Most don't realize how much difference rolling resistance makes. The difference between a 33x12.50 and 33x10.50 tire is noticeable. Gearing can fix the tire height, but not the width. At that point it becomes a compromise.
My jeep came with 33x12.50 on 10.5 inch rims. I have considered going to 33x10.50 mainly because I like the slightly narrower look and would get better coverage with the flares, but was holding back because I figured I’d have to change to 8.5 inch rims.

Maybe it would help the handling and acceleration a bit? Would I lose anything off-road by going narrower?

Different schools of thought on a 12.5" vs 10.5" tire. The narrower tire would drive better on a daily basis, less contact surface area on the road, and be better in areas where you needed to cut through mud. The flip side is, less contact surface to grip rocks when off-road. A lot really depends on where, how hard, and how much you wheel.

I have 33x12.5, considering going to 33x10.5. Real dumb question, will I need different wheels or will the 10.5 fit no problem?

If you have 10 inch wide rims then its a problem, cause then your tires won't be able to bag down because your tire will be the same width as your rim. If you have 8 inch wide rims, no problem. 10.5 inch will also look super goofy, mine does and its 11.5
