i Couldnt keep my TJ. which is really depressing. i really only got to wheel it a few times after owning it for a little over a year and dumping a few thousand $'s into it. ):

I had done some searching and decided i wanted to revel in american excess and get an OBNOXIOUSLY large truck. crew cab long bed type large.
So the search began. I really wanted to get a cummins, but they are STUPID expensive. for good reason, but jeeze. So i started looking at all my options. for some reason, the 7.3L fords really stood out to me. I mean i loved my TJ and that thing was pretty much a tractor. Why not get something with AN ACTUAL TRACTOR MOTOR? The 7.3 powerstroke engine is manufactured by international harvester. A tractor company.
It was on, i started researching body styles, factory colors, trim levels, all that jazz.
It was done. i knew what i wanted. Super Duty body style (99-2003), 6speed manual, 4x4, crew cab, long bed, solid rear glass, color in Black, Grey, Or white.
So the REAL SEARCHING BEGINS. and honestly. it didnt take even a day to find one that was ALMOST everything i wanted. no long bed, no solid rear glass. everything else was spot on though. And it had ARB bumpers, warn winch, factory matched camper shell that came with it from the dealer (truck key locks the shell), ladder rack, loads of lights, and quite a few quality of life engine upgrades that makes the ol 7.3 more reliable and a little more power. Everything seemed to be wired up pretty professionally, whoever did it took pride in their work for sure, something rare now a days.
Then. i drove it.
The only diesel i've ever driven is my dad's 2016 Titan XD platinum extreme luxury(5.0 V8 cummins). its.... sluggish. it takes a solid 2seconds from pushing the pedal to the floor for it to throw you back in the seat. If you have to pull out infront of anyone or shoot a gap when turning onto a street, you HAVE TO hold the brake and spool up the turbo, which works fine, but its annoying.
So ididnt know what to expect from this 7.3. it was more responsive than the nissan. good, felt like more power than the nissan. good. it drove. hate me for saying this, it drove like a wrangler. bit like a shopping cart, just, bigger. way bigger.

so, i got it. and ii'll find out today when i can pick it up. hopefully this week, i havnt been this excited about a car since i got my wrangler.
In the wise words of my boss, "if i'm going to get 10-12mpg i might as well be able to tow 15tons"

Cool truck man. I had a OBS (1995) Powerstroke. Loved that truck and love the next gen as much. Looks like you scored a well sorted truck that can do some nice overlanding.

Congratulations and it’s a pretty solid and simple design, should work good for you.

Glad to see people still rocking the 7.3, my dad has an 02 f350 7.3 auto built for towing (hes selling it sadly to pay for the new truck) and that thing was a beast. He had an intake, banks exhaust, banks turbo and banks tune setup for towing but man oh man was is that thing a powerhouse. International claimed it to be a million mile motor. We've got 350k on it and it still pulls like it was brand new

Nice find, I also like the Super Duty body style (as well as the OBS). You’ve found another vehicle with a fantastic engine under the hood. Is this going to be an over landing rig?

Don’t overpay, there are still a fair amount of clean super duty 7.3s out there. You just may have to travel a little farther

Jesus man, that’s horrible. Not many of them left, sucks to see it totaled like that. Fuel pump burn up or??
