Why did you click on this thread, you know it's going to sound terrible 😂

Have a listen if you must

And with just the Y-pipe installed it sounds a lil bit better.

Don't worry, I didn't leave it like this, I was just messing around while changing out the Y-pipe 🙂

:oops:I used to race an AMC Gremlin, I know, and yes I only raced other straight 6's. Open headers full throttle and the headers would cherry red on 110 octane race fuel, poor little 258 would only last about 4 races and then it was rebuild time.......:ROFLMAO:

I learned exactly what it would sound like back in high school with my old XJ. The PO chopped the tail pipe off at the axle and never did anything to support it. Came out of my friend's driveway and thought "that exhaust leak wasn't there earlier today." 200' and one pothole later I learned an open-header 4.0 sounds about as sexy as Ben Shapiro.

The sound of an I6 4.0 without a muffler is about as sexy as the sound of pigs screwing blasted through a megaphone.

The 4.0 inline 6 is a terrible, terrible sounding engine. Certainly nothing like a crossplane American V8.

It literally just sounds like a tractor engine.
My TJ is a 2.5 and one of the first things I said was that the engine noises reminded me of riding the school bus as a kid.
