I'm soliciting LJ owners to contact Bestop and request a limited run of Spice colored soft tops for us. I called today, and the rep passed it along. I'm hoping to gauge the interest here and convince them to show us the love. They're already selling LJ Supertop NX in black; it shouldn't be too hard to put the Spice fabric in the machines instead of Black. They don't even have to make them in advance; we're used to suppliers building their product after the order is placed and paid. I'd personally be OK with Khaki as a second choice, but I much prefer the light shade of the Spice to the dark Khaki. They're still making Spice soft doors and uppers so the match would be perfect there too.

If I hadn't just put this together, then I'd be in. But my wife would kill me if I bought another soft top. This is Top #3 and Frame #4.

If Bestop made a khaki diamond top for my LJ I’d buy it the moment it were available. However, I have no interest in spice because it would not match my fender flares.
Your flares are khaki? is that a factory product/option?

I would be all over a khaki soft top. I have been searching for a year and a half now. If bestop did a limited run I would probably buy 3 of them.

Yes and yes. Photo is in the shade so they appear darker, probably a healthy amount of 303 Protectant as well. My ‘05 LJ is patriot blue with a khaki interior and dual tops, khaki diamond.

I like the Khaki pretty well, and if I could get flares to match I'd go for that.

An ongoing issue with my LJ (253,000 miles) is that so many parts are no longer produced. If I’m in an accident, I have zero expectation that matching fender flares can be easily located.

Whatever color top I end up with, I’ll consider painting the flares to match.

This is what i tried to portray in my email to them, the fact there is a large, faithful gathering of us TJ/LJ owners that would be all over a limited edition run of colored tops. Bet we could drum up a similar emailing campaign with some Jeep Facebook groups. I know this comes up all the time on LJ Nation and a few others. GIVE US OPTIONS Bestop!

Same here.

Don’t they make JK and JL tops in multiple colors?

I’m super interested in a spice top for an lj problem is unlike my avatar my lj is silver and I unfortunately have to run a black top.

In the future when it’s time for a respray I’m semi committed to painting the thing some sort of maroon or cranberry color and a spice top and interior swap would be a must. If there was a limited run I’d buy it just to sit on til it’s time.

I was hoping to find a flame red lj and getting a spice top and interior swapping, then I learned that you can’t get a spice top.

I know mine came with a dark khaki top originally and I'd love to have a nice one. Currently don't even have a frame for one, but that would be easier to get a hold of.
