Spent the last day and a half dicking with a cracked elbow on the oil filter return pipe. Five minutes to replace the elbow. The rest of the time was pulling the starter to get to the elbow, putting the starter back in, and reinstalling the oil filter. This includes looking for the wrench that was just in my hand, crawling under the car to get the wrench I just dropped, crawling out from under the car because I left the wrench I needed under car on top of the engine. Also found other things that need to be dealt with in the future. Anyone that thinks older cars were easier to work on never worked on one of these.

@Cheesy, that ol' girl is just absolutely beautiful. Stunning. Would love to see a shot of the dash, as if I recall correctly, they were very art deco (been forever since I've seen one, so I may be wrong on that). Anyway, I always look forward to seeing pics of the DeSoto, and stories of Owen.

*Sorry, @Cheesy...I referred to Owen as "Warren" originally. I knew something wasn't right. I finally saw my mistake. :rolleyes:

Here you go, Squatch. Couple of dash shots. Warren is actually Owen, but I've called him worse. Especially after being on the receiving end of one of his nut punches.

Yeah, I corrected myself a few minutes after I posted. When I wrote "Warren", it sounded odd, like I knew it wasn't right. Took me a few minutes to come up with his real name, so I went back in and fixed my post. As for Karis, she sounds like a young lady who knows a good thing when she sees it. Good for her!

That dash is what I remembered, but I had completely forgotten just how beautiful the steering wheel and horn/horn ring were. There's just nothing like a vintage car, my friend. Thank you for posting the pics!

The CVT mounting plate for the diesel motorcycle on the diesel. Three different sets of mounting holes on the engine and the plate fit none of them. Mounting this cluster on the bike is going to be interesting.

Unfortunately, being a Belly Dancer doesn't mean my life is all glam. Spent six hours with a head full of Henna - think greenish brown mud in the hair. Then I got beat up by "Bianca" in her virtual "Yoga for Belly Dancers" class. Time to hit the shower and rinse this glop out!

Even I have to sleep sometime. I'd like a better look at it. A lot of dresses made for men have tight collars and/or neckties which is a HUGE turn-off. That doesn't appear to be the case with this one. I think I like it, but would need a much better picture to be sure. I'm also not convinced its a dress - it could be a tank top with skirt combo - can't tell from that picture. Anybody know the context?
