What did you do to your TJ today?

Getting my full size spare tomorrow. Mocked up the alloy to see how my new third brake light will look (in the middle). Might need to fab a bracket up for it or something. Will figure it out

Interesting, I just did the same thing after removing my sliders though I like the ones you used more, where did you get them? They seem tighter than the hard plastic pushpins I used.

As for the remaining holes you have, I obviously covered those with the stock flare extensions but I see that's not an option in your case. How about just using more of the same plugs you already used?

Over the past few days my axle u joint replacement turned into new brake calipers, rotors, pads, and wheel bearings. Few small hiccups but overall not too bad, now I have all new stuff.

Also installed these KC Apollo Pro spot lights that I saw for cheap when I was at autozone and couldn't resist. Finally got them set up but the light on the switch stays on when the car is off so I am worried it will drain my battery. I will probably have to figure out a way to wire it to a fuse that comes on when the key is in instead of the battery. Also found out my battery is over 6 years old, so I will be looking into a replacement. I won't do anything crazy with it other than maybe a winch in the future so I'm not sure if I need to get an expensive agm one like an odyssey.

I originally was going with a push retainer but I ended up using sheet metal plugs. I could drill the nutserts out but I wanted to see if there was a better solution before doing so.

I’ve heard that the manual Jeeps still have a connector for the auto transmission shifter light. If yours does, you can wire that to illuminate the switch with the lights on.

I got my Trektop installation finished! I did it all by myself, so if I can do it anyone can. It was super tight and I still have about two inches of zipper to finish zipping on the passenger side window but I'll let the sun do more of its magic before I try zipping it the rest of the way. I really like the top, the twill fabric, the Sunrider feature, and that the interior is black. I drove it and it's definitely quieter than my old soft top.

Check your air pressure and make sure they are even. Also make sure the lug nuts are all torqued correctly
Well, it took a little bit to get to it but I figured out what the issue was on both fronts. The air pressure was at 36lbs so that was the drifting feeling I was experiencing. Thanks for the tip. As for the sound I had while braking, it was rust buildup on the inside lip of the drum. The grove between the the outer edge and the inside of the drum there’s about a 1/4” grove that rides on the backplate. First time I took the drum off I didn’t notice it. Took it off again a few days after and I realized the wear on the backplate which was rubbed clean from the rust buildup. Knocked off the rust and the problem is solved.
