Team Stay at Home (Hero)

Wow..Team hero went to team farmer in a hurry. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I got a bit of rural midwest homeland in my blood.

I took a break from the TJ today...Too busy with work and a kitchen remodel (paid for...had to help the wife pick cabinets), and helping my folks move out of their cottage. Back at it hot and heavy tomorrow though. Gotta ignore the TJFest activities by doing what we all really, secretly, like to do...WORK on our rigs!
Same here bud. I'll be out in the garage questioning everything and pondering David Kishpaugh's brackets..

Then I'll start to slow down, oogle some TJ fest pictures, get jealous, and go back to trying to understand suspension.

You got the geo correction brackets too? I have a pair, sitting on the bench, awaiting their installation. I'm real excited to get them in. From what I have learned and read about link suspension geometry, the Nth degree short arm set-up and what David is doing...I think they are a game changer for a "normal" short arm lift.

I’ll be doing my serpentine belt along with idler and tensioner pulleys today in the driveway. I guess that makes me a member of team hero. I’ll hop on here later to live vicariously through some TJ fest photos.

People in cities tend to forget how they get food. Thank you for continuing a passion that helped make this country great, and keeps it humming today! (y)

I really need to start digging into understanding what these do. I'm not at a point where I can justify a mid-arm, but am always looking for ways to improve the SA setup.

Start with by gaining a decent understanding of roll center and anti-squat. Then think about different situations in your rig that those concept might apply. Read Kishpaugh's posts around here... kinda like Blaine, he's is more of an Easter Bunny, dropping knowledge throughout.

Also, check out the Nth degree thread. Blackjack has the Nth short arm, and goes through some of the geometry of that kit.

My guess is it will help you, based on the fact that you're on the east coast, and have snotty, slippery climbs. But, you gotta understand that for yourself.

No I don't have them But I've been reading up everywhere I can about them and I'm starting to think I need them.

I like the 15 inch way better than 18 inch.

The tires were 32.1x10.2 r18 These 35s are closer to 33.5-34. So I think I gained around 3/4" lift. But definately gained over 2 inch width. The old one up front is on a 1.5" spacer. The rear is without a spacer.

I need to find out If my Jeep can run it and what I'll need but It's definitely on my bucket list!
Same here - definitely on the bucket list! It likely won't happen this year for me, unfortunately. Planning a trip to Moab this summer. Just can't swing 2 cross-country trips in one calendar year.
