Opinions on this Golden Eagle for sale

With all the talk about it being rare and has special stickers and a dana 44 rear, nobody is talking about what a piece of shit it is due to the frame rot you can plainly see they tried to cover up. I wouldn't buy it if there were only one of them made. Not at that price.
Agreed 100%. So hard to find honest sellers. 🙃

Everyone without a special Edition says they are just a TJ with a sticker.
Worth more? maybe not, Nice to have? yes why not! Special editions were optioned up as standard unlike the X and more than the Sport with most of those options not an option at all for the X and Sport.
Rubicon TJ is no more special in 2021 than any other TJ that has been modded up over the years for the same off road performance so in comparison it is now also just a TJ with a sticker.
What makes any model TJ special now and in the future is a bone stock as per its factory build sheet because it hasnt been fucked with yet.

Having sold 17 of my Jeeps for a profit, I can tell you that way more people are looking for lifted Jeeps with larger tires. Most people just don't want to pay for the expense or don't know how to do it themselves. I sold a stock Jeep once. Not nearly as much interest when you park it somewhere with a for sale sign on it.
p.s. More women are interested in manual trans Jeeps. It's a stick fetish I think. ;)

I was talking long term as the TJ gets older, modified vehicles become less collectable as they get older but who is in it for keeping a pristine TJ just to pass it on and not enjoy what owning one it is all about.
There are special editions that will become more sought after as time goes on purely because their numbers were limited and this is true of all vehicles but it doesn't mean one is better than another neither does it mean its "just a badge" because it wasn't! it showed factory included features that were only an option on non badged and sometimes not an option at all.
Personally I like base model Vehicle's and always have as there is less things to go wrong, I wanted a 2004 auto TJ but just could not get one due to travel restrictions and young usual overseas travellers opting for all and any 4x4 they could get their hands on, now petrol (gas ) has started skyrocketing in Australia I will soon have the opportunity to get one and in the colour I want :)

Going to look at this ‘06 Golden Eagle.
Take a look at the ad. Is stock. Price seems a bit steep? I’m waiting on frame photos,
I mistakenly stated it was from Arizona but I was wrong.
I also updated with some underside photos provided by the seller. Ot IS what we all expected ☹️

I know you posted this a good while ago but if you want an 06 golden eagle that has a really solid body and frame message me and I’ll get you pictures. It literally just sits in my garage and gets driven a little here and there. Previous owners always garage kept/kept in car port. Spent it’s life I’m NC and SC. It’s higher miles at 220k but everything has been maintained. Front and rear differentials rebuilt a few years ago. The junk Mercedes 6 speed was swapped to a crate Novak ax15, has like 750 miles. Has advanced adapter bellhousing kit. Interior is in great shape. Does have a 3 inch suspension lift and a small transfer case drop. Still have original golden eagle wheels in the garage. We drive it occasionally but not anywhere near as much as we would like, both of us are busy with work and have two small children. Needs a few little things that I tinker with in spare time. Ax15 sits back a little further than the nsg370 so I’m in the middle of making a custom boot that attaches to the floor pan to separate transmission hole from interior. Has the smallest rear main leak/oil pan leak, it’s been in my garage for two weeks and has dropped a few small drops. Will probably have that fixed in the next month if I have time. Frame and body are in amazing shape, that’s the main reason I bought it.

Did you buy it in Va? I saw one listed a while back with higher than average mileage (180,000 or so) and no takers for months.

To add...
I don't know how old you are but it was like the packages days of yore. As in AMC days

Renegade...
Golden Eagle..
Laredo.....
Levi's edition...

Chrysler then got their hands on it and put their spin on some packages and "kind of dumb" got full blown short bus.

Sahara...

Islander 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Seriously WTFE...all equipped with the big ass dumb decal of the sun horizon on the side. Nothing screams jeep like that🙃

Then the Renegade edition of the YJ...
Oh my dear lord.
There is ugly and then there was the YJ Renegade. WTFF?!?!
Yes two "F's"!!!

Where are you located now? Still NC? At that time we were looking for my son. He since has owned a ‘00 Sahara and now he drives an ‘06 Rubicon. I personally love the Golden Eagle and if you want to share photos and a ballpark price I may very well be interested. 😁

No, it spent this first bill of its life in NC and then went to Summerville, SC. I have a lot of family in DC and growing up around classic cars I won’t touch much north of where I am in NC. It got listed and I jumped on it immediately. I was mainly looking for a solid body and frame and didn’t care about much else. Has nothing more than minor surface rust you can wipe off of bumper brackets. About the cleanest body I’ve found. I got our paintless dent remover at our dealership to look it over and he could only find two tiny dings in the entire thing. I wasn’t planning on ever selling it but we don’t pay it enough attention and rarely take it out. If I have it another few months I’ll have our shop pull the lift and put it back to stock . Previous owner was good enough to keep stock wheels. Got the build sheet on it. Was a factory golden eagle w/out hood decal, which I never knew was a thing until I started looking at options.
