Official TJ Fest 2021 picture thread

How would you rate Pritchett next to the other trails you ran? Did anything else come close to diffultly or was it in a league of its own? Is it safe to assume there are still "hard lines" and easier for most obstacles? Its nice to see a swb on 35s can do that trail though. I'll need to add it to the moab 2023 list. That and kane creek are the big name trails I have left on my list.
We still have a couple days, Alex.

All but 2 had to winch on Chewy and 1 on Axle hill. Other than that we made it up everything.
Plus with a couple significant delays on the trail some of us didn’t want to take any extra time. Didn’t always have the best lines and other than Chewy everyone was running it for the first time.

@NashvilleTJ put in an awesome show descending Chewy after he successfully got up in order to help a broken rig.

Trust me I would have been at Kane creek today, Moab rim tomorrow, and Pritchet Friday if I was alone. Next time, 2023 🤞, I need to convince the wife to stay back or go on her own trip. Day one on Hell's gave her some PTSD and now she's just looking for cliffs.

Or find a Dr. to prescribe her some Xanax 🤷‍♂️

Gotcha. I convinced my wife to go with us today on the TOTW. She's deathly afraid of heights. She did amazing though. Wouldn't go out for a pic with me next to my rig, but took all the crawling in stride.

Well, they say the Rubicon is a 10 and Pritchett is a 9... one of those is wrong I think. Nothing I've ever done including the stuff we've done here at Moab this week compares to it. Using the same scale, if this was a 9... I'd put the Rubicon trail at like a 6-7.

You can make it with 35's and lockers front and rear... if you also have a good winch and good driving skills (or in my case great spotters :) ) sure. But we also watched a guy in basically a buggy on 40's roll on the first obstacle, and the JK with us had so much damage NashvilleTJ had to drag him home.

I don't think any of the major obstacles had a bypass, and the 'easier' lines were nasty. I'd suggest you get others to chime in who have run other trails out here, it's my first time and I haven't run many, but from what I've been told it is one of the hardest.

Pritchett was, by far, the hardest trail I've ever done, and I'm not ashamed to say I used my winch more than once.

It scared me so much I had to turn around and go home after the first obstacle...

Onion Creek trail, no obstacles to get over, just amazing scenery, and about 20+ small water crossings.

Will have to get you over into the Rimrock trails at some point.

I guess the BIG question is would you do it again? While hard did you have a good time?

More Pritchett... big thanks to the group for the most terrifying and yet exhilarating day of my less than two years off roading. You can watch all the videos you want... but you still won't have a clue how big and daunting these obstacles are unless you see them in person. I don't see @Ibasket in any of those pics. Is he further up the trail than you guys?

Lol.

I couldn't agree more with this assessment...Pritchett is a must do, if you like this sort of thing. @Alex01, you need this trail...

You definitely don't see many SWB vehicles on Pritchett. I was under the impression that it was just too difficult without the added wheelbase. It's really good to see you guys representing. And from the sounds of it, Pritchett made you earn it! Nicely done.
